Nice shuttle to the top and real nice view too. I love a cable car, been on a few and also loved them but Mrs Metalman is always terrified when we are on them. To be honest, I think I could persuade her for those views mind, absolutely breath-taking and I loved the cross at the top! Cheers Alan

Yes, the mountain views of Austria are breathtaking (sometimes, quite literally)! Innsbruck, however, is the capital of (the Land of) Tirol, as well as the only city in western Austria; for nearby countryside/town & country, see towns (and villages) like Igls, Kitzbühel, Kufstein, Sankt Anton am Arlberg, or Sölden.

Going to Innsbruck in a few weeks, so was wondering how long it takes to get to the top and how much it costs to get the transport up there, also is there a cafe for some food? Thanks
Hi Tim. Current price is 44 euros (for adult). Other prices here nordkette.com/en/leisure.html
However it might vary depending on if its ski season or not when you go
However if you are spending time and planning to visit other places in Innsbruck then I would recommend the Innsbruck card as it gives free access to the cable cars and a bunch of other stuff www.innsbruck-shop.com/en/innsbruck-cards/innsbruck-card-adult-24h-1
You can get 24hours, 72hours etc depending on how long you stay for
If its not busy and there is no queuing the trip from Innsbruck city center to the very top takes about 20-25mins.
There is a very large resturant on the Seegrube level with panoramic views over Innsbruck. I dont remember if there is anything on the very top level.
Hope you have a great time, not many other places you can visit historic city center and then be at the top of a mountain all in the same day :)

Titlis is in Switzerland so if you are visiting innsbruck you want the nordkette cable car

@midhunlalg yes 100% you should go. Nordkette is stunning. There are not many places in the world where you can be in the middle of a large and beautiful historic city and then be in the stunning mountains 25mins later (direct from the city center). Innsbruck with its Nordkette cable car is one of those places, that's why it's my favorite city in the world. It actually snowed on our last day but it was only the really high peaks. But I don't know if that is normal or not. If you want snow it's better to go in winter
