Sometimes on my lake the fish are hard to find around the shallow cover. So I go out deep on ledges, I keep getting northerns on every bass bait to imagine do you experience the same problem if so how do you attract more bass then pike?
So glad to finally have a Canadian focused show. How did you get the opportunity to host this show Karl? I would love to explore some different avenues in the fishing industry..and get paid to do what i love the most in the world! Any information would be greatly appreciated.
+oB Thanks for watching; our show is based in Ontario and features a lof of different regions for bass, but the techniques, presentations and tactics can be applied to anywhere bass swim; as for the opportunity, I made the decision to create a career out of my passion, 'no risk no gain' right.
personal preference; I was dragging that rodent thru some of the deeper weed and wanted the bait to glide behind the dragging weight to stir up some sand and make a little more noise to hopefully attract more bites;
Karl, I always have trouble with rigging the rodent I have to hide the hook on the pond I fish, there are monster 18+ trophy bass, but when they nab the rodent, I can never hit the hookset, and it is so aggravating, and they only bite the rodent and worms, they are fantastic, but back to the point, how do I rig so I get a solid chance for hookset in VERY heavy sloop, as in the floor isn't visible. Thanks
RaYd Myth What kind of rod are you using? Feeling the bite is paramount to setting the hook once a fish bites; these rodents are soft, so bass hold them longer giving you the opportunity to set hook. slightly rig the bait so the hook point is slightly hidden in the plastic
ExtremeAnglerTV personally I love my bass pro extreme medium rod, 7 ft and hauls, with the power pro 50lbs, I get through anything, I set hooks most of the times with the rodent, but the plastic worm, the gold for my lake, super hard to hookset
+ExtremeAnglerTV thanks a lot Karl I figured that was it, I fish that lake a lot. Caught a 35" pike there last year and a couple 4 lb largies. Beauty lake. Love the videos keep them coming. Hopefully run into yea someday on the kawarthas
This might sound crazy but true. The BANJO MINNOW would have caught a ton more and quality fish in this video. Grass lines are where that stop and go wiggle really accels. Why isnt it mentioned more this fall? Bottom line. You can even jig it along that grass line. Wayne Hockmeyer said and came out with it years ago. I still fish and and catch fish 10mths out of the year with it at least 10. BANJO MINNOW isnt ancient its present and replaces at least 90% of my tackle box. Besides plastic worms BANJO MINNOWS will shut all that other crap. Yes i said it crap out.
I love these old episodes man. They are still the best 20+ minutes on youtube in my opinion.

I like your Zeko shoes ...and great show thank you..
They are the deal in warm weather
What time of the year do you start using top water or is it just a matter of water temp
When the water reaches about 70 degrees or warmer.
70 is a good start, but in Fall, I will fish them all the way thru October depending on water temps and aggressiveness of the fish
Great stuff, another fine video. I noticed your not pegging your weigh. Just curious why not?
personal preference; I was dragging that rodent thru some of the deeper weed and wanted the bait to glide behind the dragging weight to stir up some sand and make a little more noise to hopefully attract more bites;
Ok, I understand! Great show, thank you for your advise.
What hock do you use for your shows as in what I am watching right now?
+Simon Zehr Owner hooks, x-tra wide gap #4/0
+ExtremeAnglerTV Could you come to Tiskilwa Illinois and go on a fishing trip with me?
how heavy of a weight are you using?
+mark lesniewski depending on how deep I was fishing, 5/16 to 1/2 oz.

karl why havent u gone out after these baits.
+John Swain III just not my 'cup of tea' I guess. Strike King makes a ton of baits that have caught me a lot of big bass
Looks like Clear Lake or Stony Lake to me
Actually it was Canal Lake
