A little bit of Sailor Moon trivia: Usagi is 14 when the story starts, but she is 17 by the end and 22 when she married Mamoru so technically the version of her in the movie is most likely the 22 year old Usagi of the future arc.
Why she's wearing the original Sailor Moon costume instead of the Eternal costume beats me.

@@memebot6490 It's aimed at the Japanese otaku market, who are way more likely to shell out ridiculous prices for any and all physical goods they can get their hands on to add to their waifu shrine. Here in the States where streaming dominates everything, we've seen the western hentai market more or less die off with the exception of Media Blasters' occasional releases, since everyone who wants to watch hentai would rather just watch it on the internet for free rather than shell out $20-30 for wank material on DVD or Blu-Ray.

Back in my day there was an anime called ‘VOLTRON: Hell-Bent for Leather’ which didn’t have new animation as far as I know. It was just a carefully edited and dubbed to create a pervy story. Plenty of stuff like that on Newgrounds EXCEPT, this was done in the late 80s, when editing and dubbing took a LOT of work.

@@mrpurple11 I’m gonna take a guess-I don’t _know_ but I did work for a documentarian in the 90’s and she had the kind of equipment they probably would have used. There were VHS & Super-VHS dupe-decks, which were made for editing. With two side-by-side slots for VHS tapes. They cost thousands of dollars and had a special keyboard for editing tape. They were mostly used for TV and by college Cable-Access channels. I imagine they must have used something like that. Clunky and difficult to do precision editing with but probably readily available to college students at the time.

I mean, I'm not too surprised you traced it back to France. Animation often outsources internationally. I'm pretty sure Family Guy is mostly animated in South Korea(or used to be) and our very own Sunrise of Gundam and Cowboy Bebop fame had one of their studios working on Batman: The Animated Series, the OG Batman. On top of that, France has a pretty renowned animation scene.
If you ever do a sort of "hidden gems" video, consider watching Lastman, which I believe is still available on VRV. It's a French animated series based on a French comic book and it eventually got an English dub too.
