  • Using a Matsushita E-9060A 6 CD-Changer part, I was able to fix the stereo in my 2004 Chevy Tahoe. Takes about an hour once you know the part number.

    Followed what was suggested and it works. Ordered the cd component from Alibaba, it came quickly and took about a half hour to install. Much cheaper then replacing the whole stereo with an after-market stereo.

    Freaking awesome! My GMC Sierra1500 CD player stopped playing and wouldn't eject. I saw another video of a place that wanted $295 plus shipping to fix the issue. Ha! I followed your advice and ordered the exact part and it took two weeks to get here, 30 from start to finish to fix it, and BOOM, works like a charm. Your the best!!!

    Thank you for your information on the part number. I was able to repair my CD player by finding that part online.

      Wonder if Shazam even bought a copy to make that happen!

    Woah - you are the DUDE !!!! using your video and part leads, I just rebuilt the indash 6 CD changer with the ALIBABBER ordered Matsushita [ ordered this: Matsushita 6 CD changer 19Pin connector mechanism E-9060A for AUDIA6 A4 Toyota G.M SAABB car radio tuner ] on my 2004 (build 11/2003) yukon XL bose 6 disk in dash, integrated with the factory DVD drop down entertainment. It's been broken longer than it hasn't -- mexico build... Anyhow - mine might have broke because I routinely would jam and pop my 12' longboard all covered with sand up onto the dash. Radio had probably 200 gains inside. well, I blew it out with compressed electronic cleaner and she is working fine. One of the springs popped off when I went to hold and screw down the 4 shorter bolts -- it bounced around and then stuck to the magnet on the CD lens motor. I fashioned a hook out of motorcycle twist-tie wire (used in aircraft motors to secure fasteners) and fished and stretched it into place. The micro bolts were like a 4mm or 3.5mm. Took like 45 minutes start to finish. It sounds GREAT !!! You are the DUDE !!!!! Thanks man ! ! ! ! ! !

    I was able to fix my CD player just like you said. I completed it just before COVID hit! It's been working fine since, until last week. Same thing again! I just replaced it with a new PIONEER head unit this time. CDs were not as hard to get out this time. I wish I could find the part again, but I cant find it anymore on Alibaba. BTW, your brother's music awesome! I've added him to my playlist! Country Western Songs should be a main-stream hit! Sounds like Bob Dylan to me.

      Thanks for the kind words on the music. My acoustic guitar is used on the record which is nice. I got the engine out of this truck right now. Might put a new head unit in at some point to get bluetooth. Do you have steering wheel controls with the new Pioneer? Did you need to replace the Bose amp/speakers?

      @@StagrLee Yes, I got a converter that ports everything over and it works great! I didn't replace the BOSE sub-woofer, but my amp got to where it would not work in cold weather, so I got one out of the junk yard from a newer model for $75.00.

    Did your stereo always show "ipod"? My 2004 Avalanche is the same stereo but doesn't have this function. Did you get the GM "TSB software" upgrade first before you got the new unit?

    I noticed in the video it was showing iPod on the screen. I have never seen that on mine. Is there an aux plugin for an iPod I don’t know about?

    where it's the part # located on the CD changer? I want to order it but don't want to get the wrong one.

    • @StagrLee
      @StagrLee  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Brandon Lobitz I didn't find a part number anywhere. The E-9058 and E-9060 look quite a bit different. If the drive is malfunctioning, you can pull the drive out and reinstall the stereo into the truck. I ran without CD's for almost 6 months before I attempted a repair.

      If you see the bottom side of the part, the part number is written in white color paint. Half of it is beneath a small plastic part. So, you have to look carefully. It is very small..

    I ordered the E-9060A mechanism, I put it in but it did not match up to my radio, it did not play. I contacted the seller and he told me to send him a picture of my cd changer which I sent him, he told me that I had ordered the wrong mechanism and he matched me up, I am waiting for the new one. I will let you know if it fits.

      What part number did you end up with for which vehicle?

    • @davidp1847
      @davidp1847 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some numbers interchange, some don't. E9482A and some others will not work in the 2003-2007 Chevy and GMC truck units.

    $170? why didnt you just buy a new/better head unit???

    • @StagrLee
      @StagrLee  9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      "$45 plus $20 shipping, under ah - 70 bucks", not $170... My annunciation wasn't clear...

      Lee Thompson Do you think, I could order similar unit for my Infiniti FX 45, 2004, it has Bose 6 Cd stereo unit, made by Clarion, my radio #: PN-2548N, 28188 CG000 or CG700, could I get it for same price, new CD player, like yours?? What is the address to order it?? Thanks, good video =))

      Eero Laukkanen The part is known to be used in some AUDI, Toyota, GM, and SAAB vehicles. Doubt its the right part for your Infiniti.
