One thing about Shmuel, he really believes he was doing God service. It was never political with him. In fact, he seemed disgusted with the political climate amongst the religious leaders. Looks like he'll be "Team Jesus" before it's over
I agree. And not only was Shmuel not political, but he never was inordinately ambitious, either (like Yanni, for example). The only time that I heard Shmuel talk about his life’s goals, he said something about maybe going to Jerusalem someday and becoming a teacher like his hero, Nicodemus. I really hope that Nicodemus returns soon, so that he can see the changes that have taken place in Shmuel. And I also agree that Shmuel very sincerely believed that he was doing God’s work. He just didn’t realize, until he had his revelation after the feeding of the 5,000, that there is a vast difference between the letter of the law and the spirit of the law.
I think Shmuel might be losing sight of what he's been wanting so much out of this series. He wants to bring Jesus to justice after just one moment of preaching and healing, which he himself had personally witnessed and denied. But now that he sees how little everyone he tells believes in him and how incredibly, if not strictly, serious the higher authorities who DO believe him are taking it, he's under constant stress and sorrow over the things he's trying to make work, failed at, and made some matters of it worse even from the little successes he's had out of them. The fact that he's willing to approach Jesus and and agree to follow him to the mountain and pray to God with him not only shows how forgiving Jesus is to Shmuel for causing multiple fusses in the past, but also allows Shmuel to confess his sorrows and seek help at his lowest moment. I know we're still pretty early in the series, but I believe Shmuel is going to go through a huge development shift in his character arc from here on out (if it hasn't already started).
It breaks my heart when Shmuel asks "what are you losing?" and Jesus responds "Time". 😢 Lord, we are not worthy of your love yet you love us endlessly! Forgive us and help us live lives worthy of your Son's sacrifice! Hold us close and never let us go! In Jesus name we pray, Amen!
Truly a powerful scene. We don't normally see this kind of thing in todays media. The concept of truly forgiving and searching for forgiveness. Anyway couldn't stop thinking about this scene.
We wouldn't see this in the media it's part of the world. Jesus says never be part or transformed by the world but by renewel of heart & mind so yes u wouldn't see it & ur not going to see it the world doesn't like forgiveness it enjoys revenge that's what u see in movies & media all the time. It's amazing scene though but that's god for u always amazing in every way
I love this part Jesus is having an encounter with a man that persecute him and he is at his lowest moment but instead of belittling him Jesus tries to understand what going on with him and why is he upset and tries to comfort him and we see Jesus doing exactly what is taught at the mount love your enemies and pray for those who persecute what a great teacher he lives by what he teaches
Magnificent actor Shaan Sharma who plays the rabbi. In real life, a Professor of drama. I found this small scene as moving as the Jesus walking on water scene.
I loved this part probably in my top five favorite scenes in the show! But I was at the last episode of season three so now we wait!! Lol we'll see what happens with him and Jesus in season four and I cannot wait ❤❤
I like how the people in the background are passing by Jesus and Shmuel like they don't see them - It's as if Shmuel is the only one who sees and hears Jesus in front of him and this scene is actually Jesus speaking to him via his spirit rather than in front of him. Just an observation
Jesus and Shmuel meet again, it’s great that Shmuel sees Jesus again. And yet we don’t know what Shmuel is losing or what happened after they pray? It could be reveal in season 4? Can my wait 😁
When I saw this scene, I was sitting in my car waiting to go to work early in the morning. When Jesus turns and walks away, I was literally begging Shmuel out loud “go with him. Please go with him.” Not exactly a reaction one has with a tv show ya know?
Even Jonathan Roumie Jesus is losing time meaning that he will not be with his disciples for long where Jesus reveals to his disciples that he is going to die by being rejected by the religious leaders and the teachers of the law,be sentenced to death,be sent to crucifixion,in season 4 it will be become emotional and saddened for Jesus but he will have no choice but to do God's will even though it will saddened the disciple's heart including Mary and Peter.
Is the whole point of this scene cutting to jesus on the water meant to show that even in human form he can be in many places at once? Like the disciples left right before this conversation happened and yet they see him ahead of them.
If I’m remembering correctly, the disciples had been trying row in the storm for hours by the time Jesus started walking towards them to help. So he and Shmuel could have been talking for a bit before parting ways.
@@snowboardgurl4545 its a show about magic so you come on here to watch it and debate people? seems like the only people who might care about what God is doing more than christians might be Atheists.
I hope we get flashbacks of their conversation. Shmuel is a great character and the actor is doing a great job
That's what I'm looking forward to most!
Yeah I really like how they are playing out his story

So did Saul until Jesus changed him
Well, not all Pharisees were bad. Some were genuinely zealous for God but didnt see they were serving him the wrong way

Shmuell doesnt take blasphemy lightly
He will be one of them who opposes Jesus's hearing in the middle of the night.

Waiting season 4 about Rabbi Smuel thought onjesus
I'm hoping Shmuel will have a redemption arc for season 4 to season 7 even for him to witness the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ in season 6

Great comment its very true Jesus is the idol for us the real idol and how we should act and behave in life amen
Shmuel is a great character. Hope he becomes a believer
My favorite part can't wait for season four this was a huge cliff hanger
I do not think we have seen or heard anything from him since this moment…
@@LOVEMUFFIN_officials4 thus far has just shown his change of heart but a flashback would be great
Such an awesome, and inspiring show. Can't wait for season 4!!!!
One of my favourite scenes 👌🏾
What a great scene. Shmuel is a fascinating character. The story of Jesus is the best story ever told.
Some parts of the Chosen are so beautiful, sublime.
Amen thank you Lord for everything I love you so much ❤️✝️🙏 God bless everyone ❤️🙏✝️

Interesting perspective
this scene and the scene with the Rabbi quoting Psalm 77 to Eden broke me
He is now feeling bad about persecuting Jesus
Yes he is and he's gonna have a redemption arc for the chosen series Even Jonathan Roumie Jesus will give Shmuel a second chance
Look how the moon Glorifies the Son of Man!
My heart! ♥✝

Psalm 13!
Could you also post a clip when shnuel, yanni and ozim talk in the carragie that was so fun :)
This scene is a gem. He looks confused and Jesus wants to comfort him. I wonder if he will have character development.

John foxe wrote that people would be converted after hearing the prayers of those that they were about to martyr.
Matanong ko lang d ba si nicodemos lang Yung lumapit Kay Hesus
Actually no. Other Pharisees also went to Jesus.

I disagree with this only in one part. Jesus said he was losing time...I think a better word would have been, "Them..."
3
He just makes up words for Jesus not a good Jesus story
What a fake news
Jesus' second coming won't be fake news. Get ready for it if you want to live!

@@haleyl.248 Why wouldn't I watch a show I enjoy? Believing in God isn't a requirement to watch the Chosen. 😂
