In case TLDR 1. Have fibre 2. Decrease the alcohol 3. Cold shower 4. Sleep 5. Take vitaminC...daily 200mg 6. Zinc (lozeng 18mg ) 7. Vitamin D (100 micro g)
All this content from the Doc is amazing. Initially I got addicted to your TikToks, and I'm absolutely thrilled that you have came back to TH-cam, with these perfect videos! Thank you once again. :-)
@@sarahferguson327 Charisma oozes from Doctor Karan. This man could make the most boring topic into an exceptional conversation. He is unmatched when it comes to engaging content! 😎👌
This was very informative, but I find there is so much to know about vitamins and supplements, I almost want to consult a dietician. I agree with proper diet, exercise, hydration, and sleep as the proper formula for optimum health. Great job, Dr. Karan. Keep them coming.
Oh my goodness, I love your videos!! They are informative, educational, direct to the point, and also you are so funny. You always make me laugh. Thank you so very much!. 🤗
I agree with all except the Cold Showers(first you need to give more detail, like not using ice cold water and not going below 15celsius) and the benefits it's mostly temporary.
With how popular energy drinks are, I think people would love to hear all the ins and outs of the pros of the vitamins and cons of the effects of them, also, if you know anything about it, why does everyone seem to have a constant dry throat/cough since the pandemic
And phlegm build up! Never be had sinus problem. Now have multiple probs, not helped by auto immune disease. Doctors found liver damage and assumed alcohol! Were shocked, yes, shocked and perplexed to hear I'm non drinker. Non smoker too. I was going to tell u about cognitive function rapid decline ( for my age,not normal) but you get d picture. He's so right about kiwi bit c content. I've tried most things. Nothing works as good as what he just said, quality food, sleep, exercise y hydration. Vit D too very important.
I ate one piece of spoiled food on Friday and washed it down with a beer promptly compromising my immune system. What a perfectly calculated move to ruin my whole weekend lol
Boosting immunity is something I'm looking to do especially as some of my health issues necessary meds don't help it and want to help it wherever I can. At least I know I don't need supplements if I get a better diet aside from vitamin D.
Stay away from Pfizer and Moderna to start with. Johnson and Johnson got out of the vax game when they grew a conscious and realized they made the virus. If the vax worked, we wouldn’t be hearing this anymore. The “cure” is worse than the “disease”
1:53 Maybe it's because I'm in the US and you're in the UK, but I feel like some important detail is missing on the cold shower thing. Like is the metric specifically "calling out sick" or is it actually being sick, cause if it's the former that is a _really_ bad metric to go off of, at least anywhere I've worked. I and a fair number of my coworkers have called out "sick" far more often than we've ever called out because we were sick.
About the cold shower thing, I'm a swimming instructeur and I stand in the Pool alot witch is cold ( i started wearing a wetsuit) does this also boost immune system or does it take a toll cuse I'm in there for a couple ours?
and dont live overly clean.. not everything has to be clean and desinfected perfectly... let your kids play in the dirt, so they can develop a good immune system!
Wait...just 200mg? Most doctors prescribe 500mg BD, even if you consider poor bioavailability, you're definitely getting a lot more than 200mg. Also isn't rda ( 40 mg ) for scurvy prevention, higher doses are prescribed in ligament / tendon injuries and infections. Even cosmetologists prescribe 1000 mg fizzy tabs.
I have lupus and am currently deficient in vitamin D I have been taking a supplement that’s 100mui daily. Is this too much? Should I cut it down to taking it every other day?
Definitely ask your doctor, they may want you take more or less. My vitamin D was so low at one point that they had me on 50,000 iu once a week. Right now I take 2,000 iu (50mcg) a day. Have the doctor test your vitamin D levels and see what they recommend.
Hello I’ve been watching your channel for awhile now on Facebook just subscribe to your TH-cam channel what does a fingertip dimple mean when you push down in your fingertip and you have a little dimple at the end of it I did see a video but I can’t remember what it meant thank you
If you boost your immunity you would die, this is a very very wrong term used around,"boosting immunity ",there is no such thing. As a doctor you should know better.
Very underrated channel in my opinion
The way you deliver information is easy to understand but also intresting
100% agree. What a guy Doctor Karan is!
Means a lot!
Karan's delivery is outstandingly clear
In case TLDR
1. Have fibre
2. Decrease the alcohol
3. Cold shower
4. Sleep
5. Take vitaminC...daily 200mg
6. Zinc (lozeng 18mg )
7. Vitamin D (100 micro g)
Thanks for your summary but there’s a bit more nuance to this..and you need to watch the video for accuracy re points 1, 5&6!

Correct, a varied diet with the key ingredient being plenty of fibre is key for a healthy immune system!
Stay away from Pfizer and Moderna to start with. Johnson and Johnson got out of the vax game when they grew a conscious and realized they made the virus.

Is it possible to get an autoimmune disease by super charging your immune system?

For the average person, probably unnecessary ...if you have nutritional deficiencies or a poor diet it may he helpful!

One of the best ways to boost your immune system is to put everything from rocks to shoes in your mouth as a kid.
Err...
It’s safer than putting Pfizer or Moderna in your body, that is scientifically correct.
Actually helpful 😘
Awesome glad it helped!
He can have moments of science, but the again, it’s likely he’s scared to stand up to the bullies who call themselves “authorities of science”
Nowadays I dont know why but I dont like anything but water to drink so alcohol is not even an option!!
If vit D is a hormone, why is it called a vitimin?
vital mineral = vitamin
The endocrine system. Alcohol is the number one endocrine system disruptor available to mankind.
What about steroid's
Steroids are immunosuppressive
Just keeps reminding me that all doctors are just practicing.
