thanks, you are so awesome. I want to try it out. it's really amazing people can whip up this magic nowadays. just dumbfounding in a good way of course. you are a 3d magician.
Hi, I'm a complete C4D lite n00b, so am probably doing something dumb: I managed to get the shading to work as expected, more or less, in the interactive preview window; however, when I "Render to Picture Viewer" the "Ambient Illumination" seems to cease having any effect. Can you help?
eyedesyn that would be great. I jsut wasted the entire day failing at trying to simulate a dynamic sketch effect. Gues im gona sub so I dont miss the tutorial. Thx again
Very good question! So to get a Parallel camera type of setup in AE, you just need to set your Camera Focal Length to 200mm or higher and it'll flatten out your composition just as a Parallel camera would in C4D.
that's what I was thinking - it would be nice to have other cameras available in AE - although for the amount of use they would get, it would probably be more work than it was worth, In the future I'll try out the tighter lens to flatten my 3D elements in AE - thanks
Fresnel is under the Texture menu which is the button with the arrow right next to "Texture...", I show where it is in this tutorial. It sounds like you're looking in the wrong place for the textures.
Dude, i have a stupid question ... how can i do that "rounded" border? i'm looking forward to learn c4d to make game assets, and you do an AMAZING job, congrats! Thank you for tutorials!
Thanks for your patience everyone! Had some upload errors the first couple of tries!
Great tutorial, and great teacher as well.
wonder how you light the light leak in the screen!

Thanks very much! Glad you enjoyed the tutorial! I encourage you to make something like this and be sure to share it!
Hey Ej, great tutorial. How do i achieve the streaks on the screen? Looks like the alpha channel if I'm not mistaken.
I just used a gradient set to no interpolation between knots to make the streaks, rotated the gradient and then applied it to alpha channel!
eyedesyn Thanks, took me awhile but I figured it out. Thanks for the response man. Keep up the good work!
Awesome, glad you figured it out! Thanks for watching!

Hi. Is there a way to simulate the croshaching pencil effecnt in C4D using materials?
with Sketch & Toon, yes. I plan on doing a tutorial on that soon!
eyedesyn that would be great. I jsut wasted the entire day failing at trying to simulate a dynamic sketch effect. Gues im gona sub so I dont miss the tutorial. Thx again
yes please thanks for the sub!

Hi I'm not finding the fresnel texture or any textures in c4d lite - do you have any insight on how to get those and import them?
Fresnel is under the Texture menu which is the button with the arrow right next to "Texture...", I show where it is in this tutorial. It sounds like you're looking in the wrong place for the textures.
thanks. found it.
Dude, i have a stupid question ... how can i do that "rounded" border?

That's an extruded Rectangle spline with rounding turned on for the rounded edges!
Why do you have selfshaded material if it has 100% luminance on it in the start of the video?
I'm sorry what do you mean?
how can i make the material ?, im very confused about that, i don't know how to use 2 cel shading
I show you in the tutorial, also have an entire playlist on the subject of cel shading: th-cam.com/play/PLhuhkssBjYqdAF3qPSuK8Dp2z_APm5uQj.html
