I absolutely love my 2018 Mercedes Benz E300! It turns heads, its a thrill to drive and I feel safe on the road with! I have owned more than a few of the German 3 (Audi A4 & A6, BMW 3, 5 & 7 series, Mercedes e320) and by far, my E300 is my favorite. I know this video was done years ago, but I enjoyed it!
Really nice review! Thank you. I bought a 2017 E300 three months ago and absolutely LOVE it! Mine is Selenite Grey Metallic too (but with a black interior). Very stylish looking vehicle. Gorgeous interior design. Love the interior lighting. The ride is silky smooth! The engine is plenty powerful...no issues at all with it being a 4 cylinder twin turbo. I keep it in comfort mode around town and sport+ on the highway. Getting great gas mileage. Burmester sound system is awesome! I went with the P3 package and the driver assist features are amazing! A joy to drive every day! Best car I've ever owned.
I bought mines at 68000 miles from the dealer. premium 1,2 and 3 package and comfort and warmth package. It’s exactly like yours except mines is black interior and 4 matic. Today at 104,500 miles and running perfect. Just spark plug replacement at 100K, PCV and thermostat change at 90,000 miles and that’s it. Solid and reliable. In the snow, better than my supercharged Audi A6. Great and comfortable car.
Those that say it doesn't have enough power due to the 4 cyl. don't own it. This is the quickest E yet (non-AMG). I've had mine for three months. This is my third E class going back to 2011. If you're test driving car to car to car, yes, the noise level might be slightly higher on this one. But again, after a day or two your use to it. The cabin is still pretty quiet. At the very least it's as quiet as my previous two. I ordered mine with the dual 12.3 screens-pretty big difference from the standard dash. The auto pilot isn't nearly as good as Tesla's. In Europe they have the remote parking feature where it parks the car and pulls it out without a the driver being inside-same as Tesla. For some reason they don't have this as a US feature. The remote start now finally works after replacing the telematics and updating the codes.
@@davontyrell3724 You should learn to read, he said “quickest non amg” which is far from true. Go ahead and reread it, I’ll wait. Niggas usually have problems with comprehension.
I just brought the E 250 sedan. 54000 klm for 43k. It's ex Japanese import into NZ. Fuel in NZ July 2024 for 98 is $3.00 a litre so this car's fuel efficiency was a draw card for me. Ive never had a Merc, my previous car was a 20 year old Ford Territory. I can't believe how beautiful this car is. It came with an AMG package and the sound system is amazing. Im now learning how to look after it, it's taken me to another level and another direction in life. I love driving, im built for comfort and not for speed. Thank's for your review.
If people don’t want aggressive shifts, then they can leave it in Comfort Mode. Easy solution. I have had 3 Merceds Benz and always use them in Sport Mode ONLY and with my paddle shifters.
I agree I hate the auto start stop. And it doesn't stay off the whole while it's in one place. But thanks for teaching me how to keep it off in sport mode ❤
What’s the reliability like? I’m thinking of getting a used 17 or 18 eclass. But from Carmax with that five year extended warranty… Which I know is a must with German cars
I always laugh when ppl compare an A6 or 5 series , 12 times out of 10 just saying you have a Mercedes hold wayy more weight than having a Audi or bmw , there’s no comparison or competition for a Mercedes
I hate the auto start/stop feature, my jaguar has it and I always turn it off because i am afraid it will damage the starter by constantly restarting at every red light.
I've seen a few new fords stop at a red light and then not turn back on. Saw a guy pushing one out of an intersection the other day. For the tiny bit of fuel you might save, I'd rather the engine just keep running.
I wish I could justify the extra money on the used market. Im thinking its not worth stretching my dollar I am currently shopping the 2017 C300 with under 50k miles (a 20k-24k car) similar miles on an E300 is at least 30k...
MsLarry91 I heard that you can turn off the auto stop feature… This other TH-cam or Scotty Kilmer says that 90% of the wear and tear is from turning on and off the vehicle… So you wanna have that turned off for sure
How come it's only 50-60'000$ ? In Europe this most of the times is in 70'000s all the way into the high 90'000s because of options, here are not real packages to select from except AMG Styling, or heatpackage, parking package etc. All the other options are all seperate. Starting at 42'000€.
The start stop system and all these cars is so unnecessary and it’s causing more problems than not. I guarantee you all the issues all electrical issues with all the new cars is attached to that start stop. If you’re in traffic, it won’t allow a battery to get to have a full charge it fluctuate so the 12 V system won’t actually have 12v
You can hear tire noise in any car, you dolt. I own a slightly older 2015 e63 wagon and the road noise isn't that bad much better than any other car I've been in.
actually, car manufacturers do this with purpose. If you drive gasoline german luxury car (like a regular 4 cylinder turbo or N/A) from around 2009-2011, they are super quiet which was a problem. Why? People had a hard time being in the frame of the speed limits. They made a research and this made people actually slow down by making them feeling like if they are driving slower by letting more noise into the cabin.
Don't be surprised (better materials and fuel injection systems), European brands are downsizing their engines (Reasons: energy cost and environmental/health care, there is a great pollution in some cities due to the huge number of old diesel engines especially in wintertime during anticyclonic weather); two examples PSA Peugeot Citroën with Puretech Petrol Engine 1.2L and 130HP or Ford Ecoboost 1.0L and 100HP both tricylindric. In diesel PSA BlueHDI technology or in VW with BlueMotion, 4 cylinder.
Grant Rodgers have ypu driven the car ? I have and I feel like it's just not enough power for the car ....but I do understand the better mpg argument as I own a c300 amg
Donny Rino no I haven't been behind the wheel but I have been in the passenger seat, and it's enough for the average e class owner, I believe. Maybe not for us car enthusiasts
I went from a BMW 3 series to a 2017 E300. The 3 series drove and handled better. My E300 was peppered with problems. Had to bring it in the shop over 25 times in the first few months. Ridiculous! I bought a car to drive, not to bring it into the shop twice a week for several months! They put me in another E300 (this time a package with heads up display and massaging seats, etc.). First few months, in the shop over 6 times, and Mercedes initially refused to fix the creaking in my door when it went over bumpy roads because they could not duplicate it! Then they were able to duplicate it but wouldn't fix it because it wasn't "continuous" enough! Screw Mercedes! What a POS product they produce! I took a huge loss on the trade in for a BMW. It's night and day! The BMW drives and handles great and has no rattles. It nearly glides everywhere I go. I paid a very steep price to experience how bad Mercedes is! I will NEVER buy a Mercedes again!
I own a 2008 EClass, they chose to use a metal for the balance shaft that the chain shreds off and the engine is ruined. They also chose to use PLASTIC in the air intake manifold that breaks, and many other design flaws that lead to failures on ALL the cars, should have been replaced as manufacturer defects but Mercedes didn't define them that way. Definitely not the quickest non amg, not even close. Previous generation (e350) was faster to 60 and beyond. Not to mention the v8 models.
@@MaxMadSkillz986 he said 4 CYLINDER , you’re comparing a v6

Can’t wait to go get my car tomorrow 💕🚗
How has it been? Reliability and stuff
6.2 zero to sixty is very, very respectable and fast enough. Straight line speed is only aspect of driving a vehicle.
What’s the reliability like? I’m thinking of getting a used 17 or 18 eclass. But from Carmax with that five year extended warranty… Which I know is a must with German cars
Buy a used 2019 or new 2020 Lexus ES it is amazing. And won’t leave you stranded!!
My E class 2017 SE has lot of features except android auto and is my only gripe otherwise enough to keep me happy.
I always laugh when ppl compare an A6 or 5 series , 12 times out of 10 just saying you have a Mercedes hold wayy more weight than having a Audi or bmw , there’s no comparison or competition for a Mercedes
Agree with you,but that goes for the service prices also. 😢
People buy Mercedes for comfort luxury and because its a benz who doesn't want a benz
Nice review, except the comment about criticising Sport mode.. that was non-sensical

That's why I turned it off, It doesn't feel right.
I went to Mercedes yesterday to look at a C class coupe. I passed this on the way in. I order it in May... 😂😂
CodDoctor 937 so did you get it?
I have an E300. I turn that off.
Is that shirt from Target?
No! Banana Republic I think. I've got swag
Very good review! Thank u
Great video 👍
I have this car, want to know, where is cigarette lighter outlet, because I bought a Dash cam and to install that we need one lighter outlet.
Hi Brandon, would u be able to do a review for the G30?
Typical of the E class since its predecessor in the 1960s. Heavy cars, but always feels light to handle.
Thanks homie

I hate that start stop too.

there is no way anyone thinks the 4 cylinder has enough power to move this car ....and yes I've driven it
I think it moves well for the base offered. It's definitely not quick though.
