I have been so frustrated making double knots between beads for months until I watched your video. Thank you so much for the great explanation of how to get the knot up against the bead. First try after watching and it worked!
Well done video. These knotting techniques really show off the beautiful beads. I have a number of Kazuri beads and now some gorgeous Samunnat beads I just got on sale. I've been wondering how best to show off the individual beads in designs, so knotting is definitely one method to do that! Thanks!
Thanks Judith. Good luck with your Kazuri and Samunnat projects. If you want to share with us and our fans please email a good pic to info@antelopebeads.com Happy Beading!
Beautiful knotting! Thanks for the great ideas. I tried this with my Knotty Do It All by Sandra Younger & it was so much easier as the board holds your ends & leaves your hands free. Just an idea & I think Antelope sells the Knotty Do It All.
I’m searching all over TH-cam trying to figure out how to do a knot that allows 3 strands for dangling charms at the end? How would I do that? So, like for a sun catcher or keychain, I would use cord, nylon or even a combo of wire with eye holes and cord at the end. A basic short design using various style beads and at the bottom, I want to dangle 3 charms using the cord or thread or whatever. How would I do that?
There are lots of variables that affect the amount of cord needed for knotting, including the thickness of the cord, the size of the beads (smaller beads = more knots). In general, I start with at least twice as much cord as the finished knotted section. Cord is generally cheap, so you are better off starting with a bit extra. Let us know if you have more questions!!
Thank you!! Exactly what I needed. Great pace. Love the beads.
Thank you! Your tutorial is done so patiently and detailed - perfect for a beginner like me! Very much appreciated!😊

Is there a formula for how much cord is needed per knot, or a formula for what length of cord to start with the make a bracelet or necklace?

How do I start the bracelet and how do I end the bracelet??
They almost look like a barrel knot!
