I, too, love your mama’s garden. It is so peaceful under her trees, and everywhere something is planted to catch your attention, whether it’s a plant in the ground, in a pot or a piece of art or an old stump. I think she must put in her garden plants and things that make her smile. When she walks by those things, she thinks, “I just like that item in that space; it looks like it was meant to be there. I hope she’s passing her garden love on to your kids. My grandmama had a huge yard that I helped her in. What wonderful memories. Loved this video. Please do some winter ones.

I love all of the different plants in your moms garden. Really beautiful! its amazing that you don’t have deer issues being in such a wooded area. I guess they have enough to eat in the woods. We are on the edge of a state park and still get deer in our neighborhood. They’ve eaten my acidantheras, so no blooms! Thankfully I planted some out back as well.

Good morning and thanks for that lovely tour of your mom's garden 💕 Lots of interesting garden ideas for us. I must say that we have a few of the same type of plants in Trinidad such as the lantanas, agaves, hostas, salvias, lavender. It is really nice to have a common thread when it comes to gardening. Stay safe you guys.👍🌼

The spider lilies are definitely an old variety. I'm 64 and remember the lady at the end of our street had them around a tree. I believe that was the first plant I was ever interested in learning about. Then came my Dad's daffodils. I grew up in zone 8b and live.in zone 8b again haha.

Hey Jenny. I just watched your visit with Laura in Oregon. I clicked the link Aaron posted and now I've found another channel to watch! I'm in Eastern NC, Richlands, a zone 8a. I don't have the shade in my yard that you're Mimi has in hers. All of my trees border the property. I also rent, so except for quite a bit of my vegetable garden, I mostly do pots, as I'm not loosing all of my plants. Some are from my great grandmother's garden in Iowa and there's no way I'll leave them behind.
I look forward to watching your channel and may end up going back and watching some older videos.
    Happy Gardening! 🌱🌼🌺

I have a stump with a flower pot on top, a large piece of driftwood (nice little hidey holes for frogs, etc.), and our old mailbox down by the pond to keep my clippers in. Only problem now is our acre + is getting to be a chore to keep up. As my mama said “It’s no fun gettin’ old). Love the channel; keep the videos coming.

Maybe you young kids won't notice, but after bionic replacements for both knees, arthritis, and sciatica, I welcome soft surfaces. All the acid-loving plants will like the pine straw too.
