No it's true. Penn St was probably the most lack luster top 5 team I've seen in a while and they just kept being ranked top 5, and while they were good, better than a lot of teams,,I don't think they were top 5 good
Only for the top 20 programs after week one 67 teams no longer had any games that mattered so for you I might’ve been the golden age but for the rest of collage football not at all
everyone bashed Ole Miss for losing horribly to Florida, in which they did. but I keep stressing to people how good Florida was once healthy and when Mertz went down for the season. Florida beat LSU Ole Miss and would’ve beaten Georgia if DJ Lagway hadn’t of gotten hurt. all this happened in a BAD year, especially in the start. they started with the #1 SOS and ended with the #3 SOS. they return the same schedule next year. unless FSU somehow turns it around, Florida goes 10-2. remember: a lot of freshman started in the SEC last year. a lot of those freshman are part of the loaded 2027 QB
That was one of my favorite transitions I've every heard. My goodness, it makes me want to go to Academy Sports and Outdoors. I do always like me some new fishing supplies :)
It's always better when a team raises the bar for a few years. It elevates everyone. Auburn doesn't have two SEC titles and a natty without Saban raising hell with Alabama
The biggest villain of college football is us, the fans. The only time a segment of fans are happy is win their team wins. When that doesn’t happen, you hear everything from it’s the refs fault. The head coach doesn’t know football. I would have made that play. The system needs to be burnt to the ground. We are never happy, we tear each other apart, and we are all football experts. Source- comment section.
OhioSt wins this year they’ll have won both the first 4 cfp and this new 12 cfp… I only know this cuz I’m an ‘09Bammer who was pissed in ‘14 losing to a team that should’ve been a speed hump for another ‘chip against Oregon
“Time and its passage changes all things. One place, however, has sustained a spirit and a tradition for so long that its story has evolved into legend.” -NFL FILMS’ JOHN FACENDA. When you ask, ‘What is a dynasty?’ Let me propose another viewpoint. 100 years ago this month, Jan 1925, Notre Dame won the Rose Bowl and a national championship. Flash forward, it’s Jan 2025. Notre Dame is once again playing for a natty. Between these two dates, 11 national championships, and a chance for #12 on Jan 20th. That’s averaging > than 1 natty every decade FOR THE LAST 100 YEARS.
9:55 ain’t no way Josh called Mitch Jeter “Collin”. Man has picked against ND this entire season, and now can’t even bother to respect the name of the man who won the orange bowl for ND ☘️ The absolute disrespect!
Everyone knows Ohio state won the national championship like 3 weeks ago. Clearly nobody was on their same playing field through the playoff, 6/10 post season 🥱🥱🥱
Funny when talking about dynasties... You don't mention Florida State! Regardless of what we were last year, FSU ran the 90's... Point blank period! Top 10, 10 years straight
It’s hard for some Alabama fans to understand that college football is set up where nobody is going to have a dynasty anymore. It was great while it lasted and I believe we’ll still have some great teams and get a natty hopefully soon but it’s not gonna happen every other year, and I guess some of them will call me a fair weather fan but I’m 44 years old and been a fan since I started watching football. I hope ND pulls this one off and gets the natty. Roll Tide!
LMMFAO, the interactions between Josh and Cole are hilarious.
9:10 perfectly summarizes Penn State BTW. I know people hate to admit it.
Absolutely

When EVERY game mattered was when cfb was at its best
So never.
Only for the top 20 programs after week one 67 teams no longer had any games that mattered so for you I might’ve been the golden age but for the rest of collage football not at all
2007 was THE Golden Era of CFB
If we win the natty it will be better
@happynotredamefan3736 my thoughts, my man! When my team is winning, its golden!!! 😂

Pensacola loud and clear here... We'll be ok, it'll be cold in the morning but warm by afternoon😂
12:00
Ironic enough I think it was OSU we lost to
As a 14 year old black kid from Oklahoma. Cam newton was my mike Vick. Legit Superman.
Hell with the talent Ohio st.has stockpiled they should be playing in the NFL.
Ohio state 34 New York Giants 10
Big Noon Kickoff has let me see my Buckeyes at a decent time in Germany so they're actually the real MVP to me.

just remembered the time josh ranked florida state as the "best program in the acc" a year ago around this time
The magic number for dynasty is 3 titles in a given period. Usually 7 years or less.
Go Dawgs! Sic Em!

Shoutout Gulfport MS!!!
The BCS era was special but it always took something from us
What is your coaching grade on Aaron Roderick, BYU's offensive coordinator?
VILLAIN: Josh Pate's College Football Show
Josh sometimes your head blocks the -TBAL on the sign and it looks like Josh Pate’s College Fool Show
I would define a dynasty as 3 national titles within 5-10 years
lol that’s a big difference in 3 in 5 and 3 in 10
We have the same gymnastics thing for our daughter 😂
That Clemson team beat Alabama by MORE than they beat Notre Dame.

11:55 “Can’t remember who it was” Only the same team they’re about to play in a couple days…
I hope he was kidding then lol
Golden Era of College Football was 1984
88 was better

Miami hurricanes….villains
Penn st line coach….went to jail
1994-1997 is the cfb golden era
How was Spurrier not one of the biggest villains?
9:55 ain’t no way Josh called Mitch Jeter “Collin”. Man has picked against ND this entire season, and now can’t even bother to respect the name of the man who won the orange bowl for ND ☘️ The absolute disrespect!
Aaron Hernandez not be villain #1 is absurd
I don’t think cam newton was a villain at all. I can buy it if your a bama fan but that’s about it
OSU killed the Miami dynasty and their will. They have never been the same since that game in 2002.
Everyone knows Ohio state won the national championship like 3 weeks ago. Clearly nobody was on their same playing field through the playoff, 6/10 post season 🥱🥱🥱
The biggest villain in cfb is Jimmy Sexton.

Top 5 or better every year
1987-2000 14 years
@bradnewsome5033 yessir 🍢🍢🍢
Hey home of Selena Gomez.
This episode was basically an ad read. Tf
Dodgers win the World Series you say?
More little cubelets running around?
Who cares about the natty. Michigan won the only game that matters THE game. LETS GO BLUE YOUR EVERYTHING MEANS NOTHING
Any fine son of the south knows 2nd place is just the 1st loser.
Tebow’s self righteousness is what made him a villain.
You mean him just being a great guy and being a leader and professing his faith?

Tony Robbins or Joel Osteen can Coach this OSU Team to a Two-Loss season....... with zero Football Experience.
