Maybe it's music in general - for me it's jazz and specifically this period of jazz (that I just adore.. and this tune especially) but there's something about it, and it's something that makes me LOVE you guys. I don't know who you are, I'll never meet you but.. I LOVE you. there it is! :D Great, spirited rendition. Bravo! I really don't know why Mobley is not more famous? His solo on this tune has to be one of the most outstanding moments of hard bop on record! I hope you guys more often play with a drummer - not to detract from this great performance but for me this song really misses the drums - such a dynamite mix of timbres when a quartet hits the sweet spot (as in the original of this tune). Anyway, not complaining - this was great!
How would you define the way Rossano solo'd? It isn't modal right ? Gives me a bit of Phineas Newborn Jr and O. Peterson vibes. Please suggest early pianists that sound like that
Well done lads....really loved your playing .....lovely and happy...who needs drums...only kidding to all my percussion guys out there 😁😁😁😁😁😁
Just love seeing talented musicians really enjoy what they are playing

Among many others, including the masters you've mentioned, I love Hank Jones, Barry Harris and Tommy Flanagan. Thank you for watching.
Who is the sax player? Sounds great
Stacy Dillard
Stacy is incredible. I went to school with him for a while. As a professor once said...
"He's a great player "😊😊😊😊
