There definitely was a lot of nit-pick negative and the end was a tad confusing after hearing all the negative, when it was still recommended to be on the list for one of the top full size to get. lol
This guy just told a lie.. I purchased a 2016 2LT, and all I can say is bravo ! no road noise at all. This car is so smooth you which you just drove on and on and on and never got out of it. as for night driving, the interior is so classic, you just wanna fall asleep. So, Mr. Man: you lie a lot about this car.
molarois morais I like how he said “ put on with the most options” but it was an impala lt not even a 2LT/LTZ because it would’ve had chrome on the sides
Any negativity about this car won't speak louder to me than the 99 out of 100 consumer reports scored it. It rules the large sedan bracket hands down. And from the car that previously held it's name, it's come a Loooong way. Salute to Chevy on this one. Homerun.
My impala is fucking awesome what a great car I’ve had mine for three years now, no major issues with motor, very comfortable ride, and it’s huge inside plenty of space, I highly recommend this vehicle
Omg this review was very foolish! He complained about everrry damn thing 🙄 But i own a 2017 Chevy Impala LT and i just love love love it and im only 32 years old! I get nothing but compliments on the look! Not to mention I’m 6ft tall and just love how much room i have! Everyone love the sporty look! Hope in the years to come they add a little more but overall this is a great car!!!
Hell I'm a 5'2" woman and picking this 2015 Impala up tomorrow! I fell in love with it and my short self will definitely enjoy riding it on down to work everyday!
Every review i've ever watched this guy do, his negative comments on every vehicle he reviews far outweigh anything positive he might say. Most of the time i just skip right by his reviews because i know what to expect. If most people listened to him, dealership's wouldn't sell any automobiles.
He actually gave the pavement more of a compliment. Busy dashboard? Road noise? Why are they still making full sized sedans? Do you prefer a cube, smart car or a fiat 500?
I wouldn’t get this car with two kids in car seats. Well.. actually when I had two kids in car seats I had a Volvo 745T and it was a great and similarly sized car-just no room for anyone else in the back. But now as a father of teenagers, this is where this car makes sense. Most of the time it’s us as a family of four on a long road trip. Everyone has a comfortable seat and it’s at a lower price point, with better fuel efficiency, and better performance than a comparably comfortable SUV.
You can't figure out why full size sedans exist??? Um... how about for space? I had it all set in my mind to buy a Ford Fusion, until I set the driver's seat where I'd use it, and then tried to get into the back seat. Couldn't even get through the back door. So I didn't even test drive a Fusion, and bought an Impala instead, loads of room in the back seat for my (real estate) clients. The space difference was not trivial.
this is a great vehicle...its quiet. I don't get what he is talking about. also just turn the air back up if your hott. You can override that feature. Not a big deal.
I've had my 2015 2LTZ for a year now. Bought it as a GM CPO in July '18 for $26,000. New, it would've stickered @ $40,000. It's the same gorgeous Red-Metallic with all-Black Leather interior. The ONLY option it doesn't have is the Radar-cruise. I LOVE that feature in the Wife's 2014 AWD 2.0L Turbo-Regal! I DO have the optional 20" (only available on LTZ's) wheels. This setup is a firmer ride for sure! I LOVE the wider tires tho'! Fills out the wheelwells MUCH better. I could give a rats-ass about gas-mileage...... BUT.....I live in Fargo, ND. The big tires were a NIGHTMARE this past winter!! I'm 57, & I've driven everything, having grown up farming. You MUST get a dedicated SNOW/ICE tire for rubber this big!!!! The "All-Season" designation on these big factory tires means NOTHING in snow country!!!!!!! I absolutely LOVE this car though!!! It's big, looks aggressive, tons of trunk-room, & strong acceleration. I'm 6'2" with a longer torso. My head is in the roof-liner in 98% of the shoe-boxes on the road now. Not so in this baby, even under the big moonroof! And......this has NEVER happened....I can sit in back, & my head JUST clears the roof.....WOW!
I own a 2015 impala 1LT, idk what kind of car seats you got but there's no reason why anyone shouldn't fit fine between two car seats in that car...and that's the reason why you don't see merit to buying a full size sedan over an SUV?! The Impala's trunk is stupid big, like my buddies and I fit four full golf bags in there kinda big...but somehow that's not big enough? I could barely fit 2 golf bags in my mother's GMC Terrain of the same year, and I still get better gas milage! This Impala makes me wonder why there aren't MORE full size SUVs on the road, way more manageable than an SUV with comprable space!
How can they hate the price? It’s cheaper than most compact SUVs that are smaller, slower, and get worse gas mileage. “Oh.. but I own a FWD unibody car-based SUV so that means I have an adventurous lifestyle!!”
Nah ppl just pay attention to other shit that's pointless in my opinion u get a full package with an Impala every year they need to bring it back for ergonomic reasons I think it would be a good ev car
Much respect for calling out Chevy on their cheapness. Not ONE other reviewer pointed out the cheap noise the center dash console makes. Typical reviewer bias.
I own a 17 Impala LT with the 4cyl engine. I owned an 08 Malibu new for 10 years and traded it in for this car. This car fits me much better than the Malibu I loved and when people get in it they are quite surprised. Some think it has a V6 and some thing it's a hybrid running on battery power because it's so quiet. I don't hear any squeaks or rattles in my car either. Yes it's all black which I understand how most cars are coming these days but that's the only downside I have about this car. I actually get better mileage in the Impala than I did with my Malibu with the same engine. I usually get 30 MPG combined city/hwy driving.
Picking up my '16 Impala LTZ this week. Seriously, how many car rear center seats are that comfortable? My '09 BMW 528XI has a cold weather squeak in the dash the dealer couldn't find. This month Chevy is knocking 20% off of the full sticker price on top of trade in credit.
The impala is only 73 inches wide, which is almost the same width as all the mid-size sedans, that is why your wife felt cramped between two car seats. In contrast, the Taurus is 76.2 inches wide. I belt it is much easier for an adult to fit between car seats in a Taurus than a Impala. By the way , DO NOT ask anybody to fit in the middle back row seat of the Impala, which does not come with a headrest there. It is a suicide when the Impala gets a serious rear-ended accident.
yang song, thank you for saying that. Taurus is one of the best full size sedans for those out there who are large car lovers. For one, it’s design absolutely stands out. I hate to see every other sedan looking just the same. Some people don’t love full bulky sedans and that’s there call, but some like me do :)
Sounds like the steering wheel buttons on my wife’s 2018 Civic. But on my 2019 Impala I only use the steering wheel buttons and they are soft touch and quiet.
The Impala has triple sealed doors and thicker sound insulated front glass. His comments are not consistent with owners and reviewers. The middle seat in a sedan is not meant for a long road trip. It is meant to get 5 people to a meeting, to a restaurant, or to an event. Need more room, that's what SUVs are for. Regarding the dash, GM customers love GM dashes. They layout is intuitive and buttons and switches are on the larger size. This review misses the mark terribly.
full size sedans exist because some of us don't want to cram into those cars made for males under 6 feet and females. However, a FWD full sized sedan is...horrid, especially for Chevy. Chevy continues to let me down with nothing to challenge a Dodge Charger or a Chrysler 300. The v6 is fine with 300hp, but I'd like an SS trim WITH RWD to get me closer to 400hp or more. If I wasn't such a Chevy follower, there is no reason in the world I'd even consider this car when the 300 exist. As far as gas mileage...well, my current cars all get less than 18mpg average so... We can literally just wait for a few years and let these cars come down $10,000.
You and everyone else who say they want it but never buy it. Not even 10% of all Chargers sold have V8 in them. The SS was discontinued due to poor sales. Meanwhile..... Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, KIA, and Volkswagen can’t keep four cylinder sedans on the lot! FWD is awesome. More interior space. Better grip under real world conditions. Nobody can tell where the power is going down with stability and traction control on what’s supposed to be a Boulevard Cruiser or a Mile Eater. Get a Camaro or a Corvette if you want switch the traction control off, light up the tires, and find out too late what lift-off oversteer is.
I had one of these, 2LT trim, as a rental. I took it back the next day and demanded another car. You CANNOT see out the back window. The trunk lid is so high that you can have a midsize sedan behind you and never see it. Also, due to the design of the side mirrors it's nearly impossible to see what's next to you. The suspension will literally hop the car to the side if there's a moderate bump on a corner. The transmission needs to be beaten into submission for a downshift, and up-shifts way too soon. The 3.6 V6 is a beautiful engine, but the transmission seems designed to make sure you can never realize the engine's potential. The infotainment system is also mind bogglingly incomprehensible. Try finding the option to stream Bluetooth from your phone without bursting a few blood vessels...
You are SUCH a wimp. I cannot believe you'd go to the trouble of returning a fucking Rental. Get a life ... ... and you're the first I've ever heard to describe the suspension as "hoppy". p.s. What Automotive Journalism instructed you to complain about 'MyLink'? "Mind bogglingly incomprehensible"? Says a bit more about your mind than it does about the car!
I'm on my 3rd GM and have always had nothing but problems. I fix one thing, and at least 2 other things break. I will not be buying another Chevrolet. I would buy the Toyota Avalon instead of this.
Squeaky plastics a hallmark of gm. They don't know how to do any better. Just think what years of hot and cold will do. Probably everything will get a little more loose and squeaky.
chickenfarm09 hopefully when the car becomes more used & abused, the burned out button/knob lights can be fixed by a simple hard flick on the hard surface around it like in my current 15 y/o car...
The steering wheel buttons on my wife’s 2018 Civic sound worse than the soft touch ones on my 2019 Impala. Heck.. they were worse than the ones on my 2001 Montana! Can’t really compare dash buttons though because the Civic runs everything through the goddamn infotainment system. Even the volume control is touch only!
Such a negative reviewer. I'm sorry for any server that gets him as a customer in a restaurant.
There definitely was a lot of nit-pick negative and the end was a tad confusing after hearing all the negative, when it was still recommended to be on the list for one of the top full size to get. lol
This guy was so annoying....
Hi Nick, no one is GM sat and decided they are gonna cut corners by making the dashboard the way it is. The reviewer assumes things.
Agreed!! Such negativity! I just bought identical car and absolutely love it, love driving it!
I own a 2015 Impala LT2. and what I don't understand how you compair a SUV interior seating to the Impala.
coz its full-size sedan

He's right. Climate control pressure turns down so you can hear your phone call. ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS TURN IT BACK UP! HOW HARD IS THAT? GEEZ.
He actually gave the pavement more of a compliment. Busy dashboard? Road noise? Why are they still making full sized sedans? Do you prefer a cube, smart car or a fiat 500?
Says the interior is "busy" has clearly never sat in a 2010-2012 Ford Fusion, THAT was a busy interior.
Ford does make busy interiors.
But so does GM.
I’m a pilot so it doesn’t matter to me. All of these cars are the epitome of simplicity.
Any car you put 2 car seats in the back will be uncomfortable for anyone

I noticed road noise from a not so smooth road recently. Other than that, the sound deadening and acoustic glass take care silencing other noises.
Most honest review. I'm not concerned about back seat and I'm use to road noise w my truck but braking & suspension are more important.
My 2015 LT V6 gets 33 MPG Hiway every time I have checked it. I like the composite hood.
