Hi. Pro nail tech for 25 years: Burning from any gel product is from putting the product on too thick. The curing portion is a chemical reaction that "excites" the molecules in the binding agent of the gel. It tends to heat rapidly and the friction that occurs during curing, causes heat. The best way to avoid it is to apply the gel in thin coats and then cure. GAOY also tends to have very pigment intense polishes, so putting it on too thick can cause the gel to wrinkle and warp during curing and it won't completely cure if it's too thick. Infections occur by causing damage to the nail matrix by being too aggressive on your cuticles or breaking the seal of tissue under the free edge of your nail (the hyponychium). It allows water to seep under your nails that can cause bacterial infections or nail fungus. So be careful while prepping your nails. I hope some of this helps. I know it's been months since you posted this.
In your opinion is GAOY a good brand despite it being cheaper from amazon? Ive heard to stay away from amazon gel polish but a lot of people speak highly about GAOY
It does not! It’s supposed to stay a little tacky so the nail polish sticks. Just make sure you DO cure them, even if it does stay tacky. Hope this helps!!🙏🏼

Does the uv base coat need to dry completely? I have the same one, but it's still tacky.
