    The more performance is lacking investing gurus are about relationships, mindfulness, thankfulness. Since 2018 peaks Mohnish Pabrai’s Dalal Street LLC and Charlie Munger’s Daily Journal are -40% and -50% respectively. Regular person after 5 years and lifetime savings halved while prices +1/4 won’t be so kind and peaceful.

    It's easy to be ethical and honest when you're wealthy and have F U money. Everyone else has to answer to a boss, bite their tongues, and "play the game" just to pay the bills.

    • @RicherWiserHappier
      @RicherWiserHappier 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It’s a really good point you raise and I think there’s an element here of “which came first, the chicken or the egg?” Is it possible that many (or some) people became hugely successful partly because they were honest and ethical (as well as talented and hardworking and lucky etc)? Mohnish, for one, grew up in a $20 per month apartment in the outskirts of Bombay, so it’s not like he came from privilege. Likewise, a lot of us think we’ll be charitable one day when we have lots of money, but Tony Robbins often points out that people who won’t give $1 out of $100 when they’re poor are very unlikely to give $10 million or even $1 million out $100 million if they become vastly rich. I don’t know. These are complex questions and you’re right to ask them.

    wish more billionaires could afford to get a decent mic, especially that all they do is online interviews.

  • @brianbirnbaum9760

    Listening to billionaires act, like being ethical, is inherently more lucrative is hilarious. If there was no money and being a crook that no one would be a crook. That’s how the market works. This is ivory tower nonsense.
