I would like to do this next winter thru Cycling House. I live in Illinois and will be training the next 12 months in the hopes to reach as high as you did!🚴🏼😎
I don't train but because of covid, I ride almost every day. My legs have never been so strong. I'm sure you can make it to the top. The climb is very gradual and if you're lucky, you won't be going against the wind. Just keep on pushing up.
Nice Job. I first traveled up that road the first time in 1951 (in a car) but never on my bike. While of done the El Tour a few times, I never did that ride. It was on by Bucket list but a nasty bike accident last June likely puts it out of my reach. It was nice at at least do it with you.
Great. Video man. This is on my bike it list. I live in buckeye az.. I hope I can make it there. I have 1 wife and 5 children. Kind of hard to get away. But I want to ride it. Great video!!👍
nice video, make me a good memory, when i study in ua, i had many times to ride MT lemmon , and the shootuout. almost ten years ago, i real miss Tucson.
I have been coming down to Tucson for over 30 winters since 1983. I used to ride up to the top of Mt Lemmon on weekends to stay in shape for my spring bike tours when I ride back north to Flagstaff (where I am now) and to other states. I ride south usually in the fall from where ever I have spendt the summer working. I will be back in Tucson next Monday!
hellzz yes.i i live in boston. my father lives just outdside sabino canyon. my goal to hit those bear safe porto shittters uppon da top. i was tucson yesterday
This is great....bucket list material and I really loved the expressions of how difficult this climb is.
Glad you enjoyed it. I've been climbing Mt. Lemmon every two weeks. It's getting easier and easier. It's one of my favorite rides.
The top by the observatory is 9157.
Never found a way up that high. I usually turn around at 8,000.
I will be going to Tucson in September of this year and plan on making this ride. Looks like a challenge but fun.
Do it!!

You sound like a serious biker. Enjoy and stay safe!
Great vid Ben. If I'm ever in the states, I pop this one on the agenda...
Definitely worth it.
That was very cool. I'll be moving to the area around early 2020, so I'll ride up there..
Definitely check it out. It's an awesome ride!
Great video bro. What was your starting point?
I started at the base of Mt. Lemmon at a turn off. You can park there all day.
Was there in Feb 2019,didn't no it would be so cold on the decent,Ishivered untiI,I got below 5000 ft.
Yep, it's cold up top. Best to pack a windbreaker and fleece hat for under your helmet.
