Stan they are cool blocks I know once finished they can be faux stained to look like real stone even more I have seen jersey road barriers once stained look like a natural stone wall
Nice product for this application, but these aren't ideal when you need to go taller since they still need reinforcement over a certain height. As a designer, I hate them. Always sucks trying to figure out how to use up the pallet quantities properly and their layout software doesn't really work very well for anything other than very simple wall geometry. I like Redi-Rock Ledgestone texture. Just enough variation to disguise the fact that it is a rectangular block, but easier to layout/place and can go much taller without grid. Solid block and friction knobs make them easy and fast to stack.

Definitely agree with you on the aesthetics on "normal" block walls. However, I'd still want larger format ones. Wonder if there are semi-hollow larger ones that are more organic looking.
Stan,,, On a lot of your other videos you emphasize not using fabric behind your walls. I see fabric going behihd this wall. Is it due to the fact of larger spaces and gaps in this type of stone and youre also using a drain tile to help remove the water from behind the fabric? But for most other circumstances do not use fabric? Thanks,, Great videos !
I hope you don't have color fading problems like i did with the 25 steps I installed from Rosetta it only took 3 weeks and 2 rain storms and the yellow color was gone !!!!!

Nah, you'd use geogrid between the courses. You can go just about as tall as the foundation can handle then. Blocks like ReCon and Redi-Rock can go taller than these without reinforcement.

Not a Versa Lok product. The local Versa producer just also makes these (they buy the forms). Rosetta is an Aster brand (same as Redi-Rock).

My supplier has these Rosetta block. They are huge. Oberfields in Ohio and Mansfeld brick and supply sells them.

Walls seem smooth where they stack on each other. Should they be pinned like the small square blocks?
Under each block on the back side there is a shear knob that interlocks with the block below it
Give me RediRock any day. Rosetta is nice but not quite as easy to set. Rosetta requires way to much geo fabric for anything but a low wall.
