Hey mister, if they ask to find volume at STP is it this video's volume formula that we should calculate or the volume formula from the ideal gaz équation ?
SATP conditions represent the actual conditions that we conduct experiments under in the lab; usually around 25 oC rather than 0 oC. When it comes to exam questions just make sure you read the question carefully to see if the conditions are STP or SATP.
Topic 1 videos are for both SL and HL. For other topics the video title should have a (SL) or (HL) after it. Or you can go to my website www.msjchem.com which has all my videos arranged in topics for SL and HL.
10/10 video. Thank you MSJ! I hope you continue making these videos, thereby inspiring young chemists to pursue their dreams.
your videos are so helpful! they helped me review so i could maintain a 100 average in IB chem last semester :) thank you
Glad I could help.

Hi SIr. Why does the STP conditions at 0:27 say 1.00 x 10^5, but in the data booklet it's 100 kpa? Thanks!
100 kPa is 1.00 x 10^5 Pa. When using the ideal gas equation, pressure must be in Pa.
@@MSJChem thank you!

You can use either because the conditions at STP are fixed (273 K and 100 kPa).
Hi Sir, when do we use SATP conditions? I see it is in the data booklet but I'm not sure where it's application is in the course

Why do you use 22.7 instead of 22.4?
Molar volume of a gas until these conditions is 22.7 dm3. At a pressure of 101235 Pa it’s 22.4 dm3.
22.4 Liters dude Jeeze
What conditions of STP are you using? At 273 K and 100 kPa it’s 22.7 dm3.
@@MSJChem Stp is not 100 kPa but 101.3 kPa

hi, your videos are for sl students or hl students.? How can ı understand

Molar volume is 22.4 L not 22.7. Mistake in the value of pressure.
Not in DP chem. it's 22.7 dm3
