I think they should have shown Marcus crying it would have made the scene sadder...but better in the good way, that shows soldiers have emotions...I can't ever play this level without crying...
His eyes are watery near the end and want the camera show anya , sam and marcus back I believe it was mean to say he cried. In the army if the leader cry it can ruin the hope of other soldiers. ( Saving Private ryan church scene )

I also thought that before the release of Gears 3 the devs put out a poll for us all to vote if we all wanted Carmine to survive but said we had to choice wisley as it could have consiquences, meaning this....Dom's death if Carmine was to survive. If we voted to kill off another Carmine, Dom would of still been with us and Marcus, and possibly in Gears 4 and 5.
