I played all the games with my mom. She was Marcus. I was Dom all the time. When he died, we really liked his character and got teary. Dom went through a lot of crap.

Ever since the first gears came out me and my brother has been playing this, I was always Fenix while he was Dom because I told him he looks like Dom. I never liked Dom as a character and always joked about him dying, when the second game came out and Maria died I said "Now can he stop complaining?" me and my brother both laughed. The third game came out and he looked exactly like my brother with that beard he grew, once his death scene came up with this song playing I started to cry because Marcus lost his brother and since Dom and my brother look a like I couldn't help but imagine that being my brother.

The gears of war franchise, in my opinon was the greatest. The story, could be ,no matter, be hit close to home. The fight and the drive that Marcus and Dom faced. The players felt. they related. Gears of war fans will always love gears. The games gave me hope in my own life. Countless hours sitting in a chair enjoying online and loving the aspect of a fight of survive made my life feel better. I truly hope that I will see a Gears title for the Xbox one.

When I listen to this version, not only I see Dom's demise also the cities completely devastated by the hammer of dawn and adorning the arid landscape the charred statues of people hugging each other awaiting their sad fate, this franchise is and will always be one of the most important in my life.

Hearing this track again in the E-Day trailer after all these years was...haunting. We all remember when the Mad World trailer first came out, introducing this desolate, brutal, war-torn world where people just cling to life, day by bloody day against a merciless and monstrous foe, and then later when Dom sacrificed himself, to the horror of his oldest and closest friend.
Every time I hear this melody/song I shed a tear :'( DOM!!!!

One of the greatest trilogys of all time. Couldn't have been happier with Gears 3. Midnight release I played this masterpiece all the way to Christmas and beyond. And here I am just 2 days away from Gears 3's first anniversary. Level 67 in multiplayer and about to beat the camaign on insane by myself using the super reload modifier just because it makes the game more fun. Easier yes but fun and still a challenge. R.I.P Dominic Santiago and Adam Fenix. Judgement all the way.
Me and my older brother played all the gears and when 3 came and it got to doms death there was nothing but tears and silence after it we never forgot them games and I still play them today and I cry everytime still....
