Hi everybody. Proud to see that so many people like the documentary I produced together with my DP Wolfgang Raith and editor Joerg Schoemmel for German TV in 2006.
Congratulations to Sven and his team for a wonderful film! It is really good to know what goes on behind the scenes with air cargo. So often I see these planes without any idea of what is inside them, or who is flying them. Also I hope the 3-holers keep flying for years to come; they have such character and make a pleasant change from all the similar-looking twin jets.
I Went To Hawaii From State College With Stop's The Stop Flights Are State College To Chicago Chicago To Los Angeles And Los Angeles To Lihue But Are Beach Condo Was In Kappa But We Rented A Car And Drove To Kappa And We Had Fun In Hawaii | You Know That Hawaii Has Lots Of Islands The Island Kappa Is On Is Kauai And You Can Look Up Kauai And Kappa On A Map
The Airplane We Will On Were A Candair From State College To Chicago A Boeing 737 Max 8 From Chicago To Los Angeles And A Airbus A321 Neo From Los Angeles To Lihue
GREAT video, flying freight is more complicated then I ever thought it could be. The MD-11 is a real work-horse and is still one of the preferred aircraft for this line of work.
Thanks for uploading this mate. I fly the MD11 on my FSX and i plan to simulate this cargo route one of these days. awesome. I would build a home cockpit of the MD11 anyday, esp if I did not have to save for flight school
My Grand Father was a pilot for British Airways World Cargo out of Stansted and Manchester. He said its the best job in the world and from this video I can tell it is.
What a workhorse the MD-11. I cant imagine a todays aricraft after 20+ years doing what this MD-11 is capable of today. no matter the haters, Douglas planes are tank-built and nice looking
This is why these companies can't stop these machines like that because they need to make their money's worth and work out of those tough built machines if they do the world will slowed down i have alot of respect for the brave men who risk their lives by flying these planes to make our world run thanks for sharing this video very educational and informative really appreciate every piece of it
I really enjoyed watching this. Especially the Honolulu to Auckland trip since I live in New Zealand. Next time maybe you can visit us in Wellington...
Good observation. Lufthansa may have a hub in New Zealand as they were partners with Air New Zealand at that time and switched planes so the previous could be maintained.
Hello everybody, if some of you do understand german a little , the link shows you the same video in better quality, but in german. Both are great, for my point, learning english, in german it just looks better.
I love LH, I would have no problem trusting this airline and its pilots, cargo loaders, with a $500,000 car. Their 747-8 is just incredible, the LH layout is terrific.. Cargo flights are a bit more interesting that I thought previously. How do they deal with the horses urinating? Those puppies can really put out volume especially when nervous. Great Video
thank you. Unfortunately I don't know of any other videos. I cant even find the site of the maker lol. But if you do some searching on YT for more videos like these, you'll find them.
Most a/c cruise at around Mach 0.8 (80% of the local speed of sound), the local speed of sound decreases as temperature does, so the higher you are the 'faster' you fly, at cruise altitudes Mach 1 will probably only be around 280-300 knots.
well, it is quite tiring to carry a suitcase packed with 15-days worth of clothing and stuff up to the aircraft. maybe they brought it with them in their transport to the aircraft. then, the ground staff helped them keep it in one of the cargo holds. i don't know about the MD-11, but on the 747F, the crew check-in bags are usually kept in the bulk cargo area.
Thanks to everyone to for your comments. And especially thanks to Mr Sven Harold for making this documentary. Please send him a message of appreciation his YT page is located in the description.
Well, Lufthansa Cargo is an own company owned by Lufthansa. LC has own pilots under contract and due to the fact that regular Lufthansa doesn't have MD11s I guess they are cargo-only pilots
Nice video,,,,I watched it twice and made me to but the PMDG MD11 simulator and start learning about it hopefully i will simulate this around the world trip

Watched this 100 times and still never gets boring💜💜💯
The plane looks so cozy inside! That small kitchen and everything!
you're welcome. glad you enjoyed it. It inspired me to change my career goal to cargo pilot instead of a regional passenger pilot :-)
GREAT video, flying freight is more complicated then I ever thought it could be. The MD-11 is a real work-horse and is still one of the preferred aircraft for this line of work.
Thank you for uploading this video! I was enjoying all those 30minutes of the video. :)
Thanks for uploading this mate. I fly the MD11 on my FSX and i plan to simulate this cargo route one of these days. awesome. I would build a home cockpit of the MD11 anyday, esp if I did not have to save for flight school
One of the best documentaries I've ever seen, I'm really pleased. Thank you for sharing it.
What an excellant video 5* the commentary was brilliant the whole production was brilliant.
Thank you for uploading!
My Grand Father was a pilot for British Airways World Cargo out of Stansted and Manchester. He said its the best job in the world and from this video I can tell it is.
Wow, the English version! I have been looking for this forever!
Awesome video of one of my favorite airliners... I'm a First Officer flying a Saab 340, hope to fly freight someday.
Pigs ass
What are you flying now
Excellent video - really enjoyed it. Had to laugh at the closed captions @26:14 "bankage has been with with instructor Hitler for half a month now"
What a fascinating documentary! I thoroughly enjoyed that thank you.
What a workhorse the MD-11. I cant imagine a todays aricraft after 20+ years doing what this MD-11 is capable of today. no matter the haters, Douglas planes are tank-built and nice looking
MD-11 is my favorite aircraft
@@vitalyandryushin9053 Yep, an aviation icon. It is magnet. Hate it, love it.
This is just so fantastic - enjoyed every moment of it! Thanks so much!
This is why these companies can't stop these machines like that because they need to make their money's worth and work out of those tough built machines if they do the world will slowed down i have alot of respect for the brave men who risk their lives by flying these planes to make our world run thanks for sharing this video very educational and informative really appreciate every piece of it
Marx Mann
Risk their lives flying these planes? A pilot has less chance of dying at work than a delivery driver.
at first i was like meh, this will be a slow doco, but it had me wrong, very cool, thanks for the upload and thanks for makeing it :) yay
welcome. Glad you enjoyed it. The stopover in Australia must have been interesting for you also.
Really good documentary. Cargo pilot must be a good lifestyle if you can live with the time away from home
Well the paycheck is royal so..... not much to worry about.
Thank you for uploading! :)
Thanks for uploading this, very nice.
It takes under 10 people in Germany to produce world class documentaries, while every where else you need 50? very nice work indeed.
Hats off to the professionalism of Lufthansa.
what a great program thanks for the upload
That's an awesome plane, the MD-11. Very informative video.
I really needed to learn about their toilet problem.
welcome. Thanks for your appreciation. i honestly didn't expect so much interest from people over something like this.
Great documentary. Put in a play list and liked.
Excellent video, dude. Thanks for posting it! :)
Fantastic video. Got to say that airplanes nowadays are just so reliable. Complex machinery working perfectly almost non-stop.
I really enjoyed watching this. Especially the Honolulu to Auckland trip since I live in New Zealand. Next time maybe you can visit us in Wellington...
Thanks for this amazing video! It is fantastic!
Love these documentaries !
That horse caretaker has a tough job! Respects to the young Lady 👍

WOW ! I DID,N HAD ANY IDEA HOW THIS WAS DONE..THANK YOU FOR SHARING
I was thinking the same thing,i am guessing something got lost in the translation. thanks for posting it
Wonderful job on the end credits LOL
Song at the end is "Fort Walton - Kansas" by Hans Zimmer
This is excellent,Lufthansa is as good as it gets!
MD-11F must be The Queen of Cargo, Love it :D
Thnx Shaheen
Cool doc. Thanks for posting.
thank you, much respect to the maker
So amazing, that I watched it twice. Great video.
Thank you for this video. Very interesting!!
Awesome documentary, thanks for sharing it
Really wonderful documentary, and impressive performance from the pilots !
It was probably an MD-10. As the son of a DC-10 FE I lament the loss of the FE position.
Ok was not going to watch the whole thing, 29 minutes later.... Awesome video!
Md-11s are the best in the world.
Great airplane!
I think the B777s are the best.
they both are my fav’s
Everyone knows the best planes are made by Airbus
Everyone knows the best are made by Boeing
@alex shittyson The 737-Max 8 would disagree
Thank you so much...
Good observation. Lufthansa may have a hub in New Zealand as they were partners with Air New Zealand at that time and switched planes so the previous could be maintained.
Fascinating. Thank you.
Hello everybody, if some of you do understand german a little , the link shows you the same video in better quality, but in german. Both are great, for my point, learning english, in german it just looks better.
also they deliver useful items and yes they ave less responsibility. This documentary inspired me to become a cargo pilot
I love LH, I would have no problem trusting this airline and its pilots, cargo loaders, with a $500,000 car. Their 747-8 is just incredible, the LH layout is terrific.. very interesting and enjoyable the round the world flights..thank you
you should make another movie like this, cause it's pretty interesting!
Most a/c cruise at around Mach 0.8 (80% of the local speed of sound), the local speed of sound decreases as temperature does, so the higher you are the 'faster' you fly, at cruise altitudes Mach 1 will probably only be around 280-300 knots.
welcome and thanks especially to Mr Sven Harold
Great work
i really love the MD-11
true. i noticed that part. But overall ordering things by air for luxury is expensive, so most items are necessary like the surgical instruments
Airline or cargo? What a great documentary
Cool!
airline, and cargo...
Lufthansa is a passanger and cargo airline.
and i'm glad you enjoyed it.
fantastic video, awesome
thanks mate. Glad you liked it. Full applause to the producers

Fascinating. Lufthansa looks like a classy outfit.
Very nice film. Thank you! Would love to see something like that about AirFrance or other European companies.
Is there more films like this cause I got interested in watching it. I'm bored so I like to watch these kinds of stuff!
Well, Lufthansa Cargo is an own company owned by Lufthansa. LC has own pilots under contract and due to the fact that regular Lufthansa doesn't have MD11s I guess they are cargo-only pilots
