I am new to Tinkercad and your software 101 has shown me many new features and how to use them. The examples will help me in learning to make models in Tinkercad. Good job. Thanks
Thanks a lot. Found my 12 year old nitro gas rc car in the shed last week. Almost all plastic replacement are discontinued. This is going to give it new life.
I started parametric modeling with tinkercad. I quickly outgrew it within 2 weeks. I had some designs in mind but I just couldn't get the intricacies I needed without going thru too many workarounds. I downloaded fusion 360 and buckled down and learned the basics with the help of the many great video tutorials here in TH-cam. Maybe it's just the way I think, but starting out drawings with basic shapes didn't work for me. I prefer using 2d sketches and extruding them out, because I'm so used to designing things that way. Fusion 360 is infinitely more powerful, and easier to get where you want to go with your designs. IMO
Great video ! I’m as new as they come . I don’t own a 3D printer yet . My goal for first project will be making a very strong tight fitting ball and socket with custom ends to fit into a pipe . This video I think will be very helpful to start leaning tinkercad . Thank you
Free from autodesk ? I dont think so. Maybe for a while until it gains enough popularity and enough projects gets stored in the cloud to use a blackmail to force you to pay for account in order to access it. We all know how autodesk operates.
Just seen your video, spot on for what I’m after, how would to make a cylinder but hollow? 🤔 been trying for a while and it’s not something I can work out
Really well done, the only "problem" I had was that in some cases the explanation was too fast and I'd have to go back - it is not a complaint, just an observation. The only other thing I would like to comment on is that as of today there are 222 thumbs down. I cannot understand why you would even have one. I'm looking forward to another video and will probably watch this again. Thank you for your expertise and clear instructions.
3D-printing noob here. It really is. Even for text, the dimensions in Blender weren't correct. I imported custom fonts into TinkerCAD and it's spot-on. Definitely going to use this as far as its capabilities will take me.
Good tutorial. Thanks for playing the same 2 measures of a garage band song over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.
This tutorial is just what I needed, but I cannot use it sadly. The music drives me Mental! Literally. Why did you add it even? I don't get it. It would have been so much better with silent background. Pleeese!
Is there a way to duplicate an item in a polar array, like completely around a circle, with the objects spaced evenly completely around the circle? I would like to make a gear that has 80 teeth spaced around the outer edge of the gear.
codeblock can help you with that when you create new project you can choose between 3d design circuts or codeblocks you might need some coding knowledge tho
He so I'm trying to make a wedge that is thinner in width in the front and wider in the back, are there any ways to change the width of just 2 corners? I know there is a way to do this in Blender, in editing mode, but I'm trying to learn this program, is there something similar to what blender has, where you can change individual corners?
Make bowl using a solid object and inserting a hidden object. How do you add a solid post or cylinder into the bowl from the bottom to above the top edge of the bowl? Everything I have tried the post disappeared from the bottom of the bowl to the top edge. Thank you
Looks like a good tutorial but your little black mouse cursor is hard to follow. Try using a big yellow one, or like others I've seen, a big yellow circle around a pointer.
wow this for this video , I am so new in the world of 3d , sorry if my question is not smart but this program is compatible with endear 3 or purse i3 😅 because I so extreme beginner
The designs you create in TinkerCad are definitely compatible with those printers - just be aware of the slicing software you are using and make sure those are specific to those particular printers for best results
I bought a tronxy x3 3d printer from a pawn shop without researching 3d printer first, my bad. I've been trying to learn the tinker-cad workings but can;t seem to get it to do what I need. I picked a trapezoid shape and need to flip it on it's side and hollow it to create a box. I haven't played with it enough to get it right, I get to frustrated. Any suggestions would be helpful.
Is it possible to keep the colors of individual objects when they are grouped together? I see that when you group the cylinder and box together, the both become orange. I'm having trouble with all of my colors becoming one when I group them, and I don't know how to keep the color of the individual objects.
Yes if you go into the drop down menu of a grouped object and click solid you get color options then click multicolor and you will return it to the original colors before you grouped them
I just started using this today. I'd say it works for beginner stuff, however trying to use decimals in place of fractions for inches, is kinda irritating. Since 16ths converts to 4 digit decimals, it rounds something like .3125 (3/16) to .31, and .875 (7/8) to .9. Is there a way I can allow for a 4-digit decimal reading?
I know I'm late, but no. That's the way their computers read decimals. TinkerCAD is supposed to be really beginner level friendly, so they don't expect them to be using decimals in the ten thousandths place.
This looked useful and interesting, but I stopped and gave up in less thatn two minutes because of the incredibly annoying background music. (I am sure I am not the only one !) Please do you have a narration only version ?
your mouse is too small and you move it too quickly. To teach me you need to pause your mouse so I can find it Picking the right tool is more than half the skill I need. If you have only 4 minutes slow down and throw out half the repetitive stuff
Learned TONS about Tinkercard in 10 minutes. Much better than the built in tutorials. Gets right to the point. Thanks!!!
This is a great crash course! Thanks for sharing the knowledge that is changing the world!

Wow how fast can go doing this. Maybe taking a hearth so we can see what you are doing. I guess I’ll find someone else to explain this.
You can always reduce the speed of the video or even pause it to better suit your needs :)

could be very good, if it was slower. I guess, it is OK for someone who already is more at ease with it
to me its easy to make simple shapes with cutouts and circles, but its a pain to make chamfers and rounded corners
