During Covid when we wen't allowed in, there some flats renting out as Air B&B. A Bunch of away fans made use of it and Cambridge in particular turned it into a home game for them.
Good video, and I was able to identify myself in the South Stand. My season ticket is in the East Stand, but obviously that wasn't open, apart from the Away section. There six blocks of flats in total, ine in each corner and one behind each of the North and South Stands. They helped fund the construction of the currwnt West and North Stands, both opened in 2003, and the freehold on all the flats are still owned by Barry Hearn's company.
As a Norwegian where loads of stadiums have apartments I must say that I personally don't like them. They take away something from the stadium overall in my opinion. But fair enough to Orient, proper club!
Poor old Tamas Holy Matt being left deserted by his defence. As usual you saw alot of goals, which was great. Shame about the cup being what it is now. I remember as a youngster going to Gravesend or Maidstone watching the 1st round against league opposition, and you had to buy tickets well in advance, just to get in. How much did you say you paid to get in, on the vid?
Thanks Berlin Dave, it was £15 to enter. It was good to see Tomas Holy, I always rated him, if Gills play Charlton in the 2nd round that will be a decent crowd 👍🏻⚽️
@@davidwilliamgay4821 I tried to get tickets for the Wrexham game but it was sold out, I was too slow to buy them, my fault. I will decide on Friday where I am going on Saturday 👍🏻⚽️
I noticed Orient averaging 8,500 for the league games this season. So this is a huge drop off for the FA cup despite cheap tickets. Not a good tie for either club though.
Enjoyed the video its just a shame you did not choose to see a league game as they are usually sold out and have a great atmosphere, sad to see F.A. cup going this way it seems to be getting worse and it used to be a highlight of the year.
Its a shame it was against another league 1 club and not a local non league club for intrigue or making it a fiver a ticket, it was a decent atmosphere though 👍🏻 I have been before to a league game, a 3-3 draw with the Gills 👍🏻⚽️
