As someone who watches Lovebites reactions every day I’ve been waiting. And waiting. And waiting for you to return to Lovebites. Why? Because your reactions are among the best. Professional, intelligent and informed. And what a day to come back, the day they return from a 16 month hiatus forced on them by the departure of their bassist. Now they have, today, introduced us to 20 year old Fami…who is therefore 10 years younger than the rest of the band and plays 5 string bass. Swansong with Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude intro played by concert pianist in training turned self taught guitarist Miyako (no guesses which one she is!) has to be your next reaction. Live, Tokyo 2020 (same gig as Holy War). Great reaction.

More than 4 months...because in November 2021 she announced her marriage and the birth of her child.
Asami, the singer, also took advantage of the hiatus to get married and give birth to a baby girl 18 weeks ago.
Today they announced their new bassist and they are ready to rock us all.

Yes, there are more with piano. Of special note is their performance of “Swan Song with Chopin Intro” that successfully melds classical with heavy metal in a progressive wrap.
One ex ballerina, one ex classical piano virtuoso... All of them extreme good musicians... Nowadays new amazing basist since then....
The reason I like this channel more is because there is much more talk about the rhythm section.Hardly anyone talks about Miho. I understand that the front row is more attractive because everyone is excited for the guitars (which I understand), but for me the soul of this band is still the rhythm section. I've been a fan of Steve Harris for 25 years, but Miho.... Oh dear... There are few such bass players in the music world, who can fantastically support the drums and guitars, and can also bring their own style and little show into it. Impressive!!!

Ty for coming back to LB Tony! Apparently my nagging paid off (all in good jest)! 😀 You have so many options from here. Another masterpiece, Swan Song w/Chopin intro (Miyako shreds the piano), Addicted live which opens with harmonizing acoustic, Epilogue live, ballad that has it all - acoustic/electric, Asami's killer on vocals, or you could go heavy thrash with Set The World On Fire live which is next level shredding, or power metal w/Shadowmaker MV...fast ass riff with insane soloing and Haruna relentless on the double kick. Shadowmaker was my 1st intro to LB and will stay with me forever...just something about the video, how they look (beautiful ofc), the speed of the song, and the sound of the harmonized solo just sucks you in, if that makes any sense. Your analysis breakdown is terrific and personally, have no issue when / where you pause. Your reaction, you do you. Keep it up!! 🦊🐺

With all these live performances you've gotten to analysing, I would love to hear you elaborate in detail on the live version of "Serpent Eating the Horizon" from the Bravely Default OST. The song is performed by Linked Horizon, who also worked on some of the Attack on Titan openings.
Fantastic reaction! I really love how you hear and breakdown so much of what's going on. There's so much more you could (and I think should) do from Lovebites, and should not miss. Where to start? Swan Song (with the Chopin intro), if you want another amazing piece like this, with piano. Set the World on Fire, for an amazing solo and the chorus is fire! Thunder Vengeance, the opener to their show at Zepp, is one of my favorites, for the energy of it. Break the Wall has an amazing handoff of Midori's solo to Miyako's. All the while, of course, Miho and Haruna are just killing it. There's just a few. Hope you get to them all (and there's more!). I subscribed, just in case you do, and also, because I really like your breakdowns and calling out little details. Good stuff!

Doing my periodic check-in for Lovebites reactions. You should check out one of their MV. Shadowmaker is what introduced me to these talented musicians. It's from 2017, re-released 6mos ago on their YT channel. It is one heck of a power metal song with intense guitar / drumming speeds. For some reason it's my favorite song by them, the visual of them shredding in white outfits in a dark basement just sticks w/me for some reason. 🐺
Piano section was hype for sure.
The sad affect is because it's a sad song, about the end of the world, disguised as a song about lost love. In this case the lost love is our planet.
The acoustic guitar was recorded by Miyako, but live Midori has to play it, because Miyako is busy on piano! 🤘🎹🎸🔥🐺
I know Miyako is credited with the accoustic guitars on this song, but that has always seemed strange to me, since Midori is the one who actually has the background in classical guitar (Miyako's classical background is mainly in piano, while Midori's in in guitar), and Midori is the more technically-proficient of the two. Seems odd that she wouldn't be the one playing the part that she's the one more skilled in! I could almost understand it if Miyako had done the composing, but since this was an Asami composition, it is strange. I know they did it that way, it just confuses me as to why.
@@garykeeling2275 Miyako always composes and records the acoustic guitar solos, she is a virtuoso on the classical guitar, but off course Midori can also play classical guitar very well!
For more piano, I recommend Swan Song (with the Chopin intro), and Edge of the World. I look forward to more Lovebites (but I'm enjoying the trip through video game music too!).

I just wanna show you something and want you to react their songs like Hakujitsu, Shanmon Shousetsu, Sakayume, Senryou Yakusha, Chameleon, and many others. This band called King Gnu simple description their music is more like japan rock with jazz also strings touch in their music, more unique because they have two vocalist with different type of voice, the first vocalist voice is light and high but the second vocalist is more deeper but the melody's connected very well tho. You should check it have a good day
The guitar player from this band (Daiki Tsuneta) also do arrange KICK BACK song by Kenshi Yonezu and he played bass and guitar in that song

Miyako the dark haired guitarist/pianist is actually a pianist who plays guitar for her secondary instrument.
Next, take a look at Galneryus. Ono Masatoshi's voice and Syu's guitar alone are easily god tier.

Just realized you're using HyperX Cloud II from the looks of it?
Maybe it's time to get something that sounds a bit better, like a Sennheiser HD600 or Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro (closed back) or DT 990 pro (open back).
I haven't been looking much into the headphone space ever since I got myself the HD600 about 6 years ago replacing my HyperX Cloud 1, which is the best purchase I've ever done, so maybe there are even better options nowadays. I'm assuming you have a DAC + Amp combo but if you haven't, make sure to look into that as well!
I can guarantee you the HyperX cloud leave a LOT to be desired... They're not terrible considering it comes with a mic and is 60-70 euro though.
