Despite often having multiple layovers in London each month, I always have such a lovely time!
Join me on my 24 hour layover flying into London Gatwick LGW. We had such a beautiful sunshiny day, and I adventured to Notting Hill to reunite with family I hadn’t seen for over twenty years!
I just bought a new iPhone, so recording and editing is far easier! Stay tuned for more content soon! Woohoo 🎉

I can't wait to see what suggestions people will make about Madrid, as I'll be flying this exact route (MAD-DXB, return trip) later this year. First time with Emirates, first flight on the A380. SO looking forward to it!
Also, I must admit that the Canadian in me laughed a little bit when you said that 12 degrees is cold ;) haha But I totally get it, when you're used to a hot climate, anything below 20 is probably a shock!

So I’ve already enjoyed my Madrid layover, but hopefully I’ll be there again soon so I’m listening to ideas! We actually enjoyed a day trip to Toledo - a lot of history, beautiful castles and great food! I’m glad I went.
I’m excited for your first adventure with EK! I truly love flying as a passenger, last week I flew from SYD>DXB (14 hours) as a passenger and even though it was a totally full A380, it was super comfortable and our crew were fabulous - I had a great flight.

Nice to see Notting Hill. You really live the high life. But as we can see, it is exhausting. Retiro Park I Madrid is good. And the Palace was fun to see as well. Though this is now over a year old so you probably have seen this. All the best keep enjoying the Good work.

Hi Anastasia! Great question, it really depends on what I plan to do on a layover.
Right now for example I’m in Auckland (currently on my way to the airport!) and on this occasion I tried to stick to Dubai timings as I wasn’t able to leave the hotel room due to quarantine rules.
However, most other layovers where we can go out, I’ll enjoy the destination as much as I can, even if that means not sleeping for a loooong time. Coffee, naps, and the excitement of a new place keep me awake! 💕💕

When going to the shops do you pay in cash or is there a credit card you use that's best for international?
We used to receive the allowance at each destination in cash of the local currency, but now it’s in our salary. So I mostly use my credit card - not sure which is best for international! 🥰
