Your analysis always gives me something to think about. I think that I would have made the call on the river with the K-10 clubs. If I had to go all in, it would be difficult, but for only part of my stack I would probably have done it. However, I would have checked down the 88 on the river. The amount the opponent raised to get you to call is informative. If he had over bet the pot, would you have folded?

The 88 vs AK hand is not a bad call. If there was a stockfish pokerbot it would make the call literally 50% maybe more of the time. I see now why he did check twice. Considering he had the board dominated and only lose to a lone 4 or quads on the turn. It’s not a bad call in theory.
