Sorry, I had to pause it 5 seconds in...SNOW!! It looks so very beautiful but I know I'd freeze! We are in the middle of Winter at the moment and I complain when it gets down to 15°c! 🤣
    Back to the show!🎊

It's so sad to see and hear about how so many people sacrificed themselves and still suffer, just to make a government change. How I wish the world could just be a place of peace, but I guess that is wishful thinking.
To see the people so bravely walking towards the tanks and armed troops was just so...well I can't find the words to adequately describe how it made me feel. I am so thankful everyday that I was born into a country and a time of peace and freedom, I try to/ and have tried to explain to my children that not everyone is lucky enough to live so peacefully and freely as they do.
Those pictures of the lost, so many young faces and lost futures...it broke my heart to see them all, so much loss. But in the end, their sacrifice was something that did so much good for their country, I'm glad they are remembered.
I like that the bullet holes have been left and highlighted in and on the buildings as a visual reminder that we will always need to do better and be better and to not let the few in government ever try to control the people and repeat such horrors . That the strength and sacrifices of the many, of the righteous can win.
The footage at the end was so beautiful, the stark mountains with the bright buildings in front is so beautiful and the snow just made everything stand out so much more. Whoever did the camera work, did an amzing job!
Thank you again for sharing some of your history and showing the beauty of your country...I think your tourism board needs to hire you, your videos are much better than the ones I've seen them release (especially those recent ones with the dancers).

@@debbimor8003 Thank you so so so much for your opinion.
Korea and cities of Korea have so many stories to tell and promote for its tourism.
Recent dancing movie videos are nice but I don’t think they are promoting Korea but its dancers and music. In fact, they got popular and they are on Tv and commercials, no one talks about cities featured in the music video.
      Thank you for your opinion.

@@topkoreatour Yes I enjoyed them, and understand the need to promote the arts but I wanted to know more about the things and areas they were dancing around. In the long run, they drew a lot of attention from people which can only be beneficial to the tourism of your country, so I guess they worked.😆

I saw that film with the German journalist. Wasn't the title Taxi Driver?
It's so tragic what happened in Gwangju!! I can easily imagine how traumatised survivors must feel (or have felt at the time).
Mudeungsan looks so gorgeous! Looking forward to your next visit to Gwangju and Mokpo :) haha
Those few images in the snow with the path and trees are pure magic!

What happened in Gwangju is what is happening in Myanmar now.

Yes very similar, people died, at that time people thought it was caused by north Korean spies but it was not, people fought it to protect their neighbors. Now 5.18 Gwangju democraticization movement is remembered as a very important event for democracy of Korea.
