Ram - You have created scrap component in BOM even before sending material to vendor, in reality we don't know if by-product/scrap is generated or not, how do we handle it then?
Generally, we will be knowing either scrap or byproduct is generating Also it depends after receiving material how they gonna use that but technically we are receiving wrt component in BOM

It depends on your company requirements - subcontracting scenario U can create inforecord for raw materials normally and for finished goods also u can create because some times u procure finished goods as well raw material from vendor

Always end material will be FERT or HALB

Component scrap is like which u will receive for your material from subcontractors
Normal operations also u will perform scrap
Both are very different
