I am Chinese and yes! I tend to buy more pink eyeshadow because it looks bright and cheerfully.....gold would be a great addition as part of this pallet...I love dior eyeshadows too, I think it's very age friendly....since I am in my 50s

I hadn’t planned on picking this up until I saw your review. I think both looks are gorgeous and I particularly like that you can use it for blush and highlight. I think adding in a brown would also give you tons of looks! Then again I do have Rosa Mutabilis (which I LOVE - favorite of the Velvets that were released) and 1947, so it could be redundant. Totally, agree, a neutral leaning palette would have fit the palette cover and been more useful!~
Thank you for the quick review…it was interesting learning about the lady who wore leopard print who influenced Dior back in the day. This pallet looks more like a blush pallet to me. It will be interesting to see how this sells. I really want the new TF creme pallet coming out later. You certainly get a lot more product for your money with the Dior. 👏🏻👏🏻
I picked it up the moment it came back into stock! Arrived a day later. The colours are really beautiful 😁 I think the lipstick cases could be nicer though.. But then they're free. I wouldn't mind paying a bit more though if we could get special casing
I love the look of the palette and I haven’t watched the entire review yet but to me it looks like a really beautiful face palette..like most these shades could work as blushes on me..
I must say that I like this more than I thought. It looks exceptional as a blush palette (I think it is intended for eyes and face, hence the bigger pans) and I like it as an eyeshadow one, mainly because of the darker side giving it more character. Considering it is for spring, I think pink is the safest bet, and I am fine with it, even though I usually don't buy pink palettes anymore, since I have them. However, spring is usually pink or pastels for all the brands, and I don't think the intended target for Dior would wear pastels. I am not a fan of leaopard print in general, but I don't think it looks tacky (on video) and I really really like that Dior always puts a little piece of its history in its products. It is one of the most fascinating things about the Maison, in my opinion. All in all, if it will stay in my budget, I think I will pick this one up.
Agreed I like the reference to their origins. I was surprised how much I loved this as blush. I forgot to mention in the review that it was also very long lasting as a blush
To begin with, love the tidbit at the beginning - absolutely fascinating, thank you for that! Now about this release - I’m gladly skipping it, even though I do love my Dior. I’m very happy with my Popeline, so I feel like the little girl inside of me is pretty much satisfied with the pinks from it. 😅 I adore pinks, but I feel like we had a bit too much of it this year so I’m sort of ready for some neutrals and cool tones. Thanks for trying it out for us. Leopard prints go so well with bright pinks…. I just wished they had added more browns in the 10 pan (deca?) palette. The collection is a hard pass for me. Way too pink…. I personally prefer the look of the mitzah quint.

Haha I understand 😅 I think that the Charlotte palette is probably better for an every day neutral look and for someone who likes very metallic shadows. I love the vibe of the Dior one specifically for spring and summer when I want very feminine and pink looks!
I just bought it on the Dior website prior to seeing your video. I I love the looks you created and your using it as blush. I too have Rosa Mutabilis and Miss Dior 1947, but I love Dior and picked up some lipsticks as well. Another great Sofia review.

Hi Mary! This is more narrow than the ND palette but similar in width. I think you could use this as a face palette. The pigments last very well on the face as blush!

Thank you for the review. You look beautiful in the looks you created. Those dark colors make are transitions into fall and not winter to spring vibes. I think this and ND pastel palettes pushed their products way ahead of time line. These might be their timelines for next releases internally in the company but not necessarily match up the realistic consumer timelines. I just wished they planned releases better. That said, I'm a huge pink color person but not so sure as i already have Patrick Ta MD-2 from the recent sale so still debating.
This lunar year is rabbit year and last one was tiger, then it doesn’t represent lunar year. I like Mitza palette and at first thought it would be extension of that one, but this one is completely different. One thing that I thought if the four corner colors can be used as base for different skin tones and the middle part is the color to apply over it. Your second looks is stunning and very beautiful and wearable 👍
I love the packaging but I'm much older than you. You look amazing in both looks. I like this pallet as blush better than an eyeshadow. So i love the size of the shadows. I don't like using tiny little shadow amounts as a blush. Maybe because I'm older. I do agree a that a transition shade would have been nice. By looking at the pallet i would have never thought it would be so daytime friendly. To many pallets, why colors beautiful and can do stunning eye looks. I don't go many places that a dramatic eye look is wanted. You made this pallet look like it can be used for many daytime and evening looks without looking over the top. Again this could be because I'm older. Love the cat!
That’s a good point! The larger pan sizes make this easier for blush usage. I definitely think this palette is friendly for everyday use! It’s just very pink 😉

I love leopard print my whole life I own a lot in clothes accessories home decor for manyyy years even if it wasn't in style at the time, but what confuses me it's what the pinks have anythjnggg to do with that print? It would make more sense to me if the palette was gold, bronze warm browns , yellow even green .Leopard and pink? Actually as a 60 yr old I appreciate more subtle shimmers because as you age you can’t use as much and I have so many palettes with shades I don’t use. Also because the shades are larger they are more easily used as blush Still on the fence with this one What’s your favorite pink pallette?

I don’t like matt so much. I have ordered a pink palette from Guerlain, and I haven’t received it yet, but I already have a feeling it will be a bit too dark. So my hope is Miss Dior 1947. The new Dior palette Soft Petals is the name I think seems too light, almost nude.
On first glance… way too much pink… but okay, I’ll watch for a bit and see! 😂❤ yes I was expecting this to be similar to the original Mitzah quint from them- which I liked! This looks lovely on you❤ a skip for me! I’m editing my comment because the more I look at this large face palette, the more versatile it appears to me! It has other shades in there besides pink- deeper chestnut browns and light peaches.. so I’m intrigued!
Hi , it actually looks pretty , elegant is the word i think , i must admit you look very beautiful, but i love dior shadows , i have quite a collection , but i also have a large collection of charlotte Tilbury too so i am trying to get away from pink . also i have all her holiday palettes too . forgive me but pat mcgrath i bought mymohership was delighted until i ed it but being mature it made my eye look a hundred years old my lids looked full of creases so i gave it to my niece who loved it so i was happy she loved it and my money wasn’t spent in vane ! but taught me a lesson not to buy pat mcgrath ! its the first time its happened to me , i was so upset but hey we need to move on ! sadly this one is not for me as beautiful as it is . my regards to all , i would have loved greens golds browns thats the way i would love to see the trend to go , liz x

Not a fan at all of the leopard print especially for a spring collection I’m upset about this because I was all ready for a collection like last year. I’m new to Dior make up and I really was looking forward to the spring make up collection 🙁
It's seems to me that luxury makeup brands are going the same way fashion (clothes) houses went by making so many collections a year that it became to be fast fashion.
I’m a major cat person but I cringe at leopard print in makeup and fashion! The shades are pretty and I love seeing you trying it out though! It’s a pass from me to actually buy. I have those shades a thousand times over.
That color story really appeals to me, I love pink, I like the range of light to dark shades, I love mattes and satin finishes (dislike glitter), but... I hate animal print 😒
I think if the palette design had been predominantly leopard (or even a jacquard tonal pattern of leopard print) with a tiny subtle “Christian Dior” in the corner instead of splayed across the front in giant letters, it would have looked like an updated modern take on a classic animal print theme. As it is, the design of the packaging lacks the restraint and elegance of the subject matter, and if anything that style harkens back to a more spendy, extravagant, over the top time that feels not particularly current 34:43 .
Interesting points there. I think that this reminds me a lot of the design that they have on their handbags, such as the book tote. I think many times they try to match the design of the beauty items to what they are doing in the ready to wear in accessories line

I personally like the leopard print with the “Christian Dior” going across it. I’m glad some others don’t-hopefully this won’t sell out before I can pick it up! 😂
Great review. Average looking palette. I especially dislike what looks like beige lace either side of the name on the lid. However the dramatic look you created was excellent and all the blushes you did worked as well. Pretty shadows but not something I need.

@@SofiaSeesBeauty I love Dior eyeshadows, the quality is just excellent. In terms of colors I am looking for light pinky colors, rather shimmery or satin, but not too much metallic. I don’t like matt so much. I have ordered a pink palette from Guerlain, and I haven’t received it yet, but I already have a feeling it will be a bit too dark. So my hope is Miss Dior 1947. The new Dior palette Soft Petals is the name I think seems too light, almost nude.
On first glance… way too much pink… but okay, I’ll watch for a bit and see! 😂❤ yes I was expecting this to be similar to the original Mitzah quint from them- which I liked! This looks lovely on you❤ a skip for me! I’m editing my comment because the more I look at this large face palette, the more versatile it appears to me! It has other shades in there besides pink- deeper chestnut browns and light peaches.. so I’m intrigued!
Hi , it actually looks pretty , elegant is the word i think , i must admit you look very beautiful, but i love dior shadows , i have quite a collection , but i also have a large collection of charlotte Tilbury too so i am trying to get away from pink . also i have all her holiday palettes too . forgive me but pat mcgrath i bought mymohership was delighted until i ed it but being mature it made my eye look a hundred years old my lids looked full of creases so i gave it to my niece who loved it so i was happy she loved it and my money wasn’t spent in vane ! but taught me a lesson not to buy pat mcgrath ! its the first time its happened to me , i was so upset but hey we need to move on ! sadly this one is not for me as beautiful as it is . my regards to all , i would have loved greens golds browns thats the way i would love to see the trend to go , liz x

I’m so glad your niece liked the Pat palette. I give a lot of my extra makeup to my cousin and friends and I’m so delighted when they are excited for the makeup 😊
I think this is a face palette, with blushes and highlights as well as shadows.
They called it “an eyeshadow wardrobe” but just like you suggest a lot of people saw it and thought it was a face palette. I will use it for everything! 😜

Not a fan at all of the leopard print especially for a spring collection I’m upset about this because I was all ready for a collection like last year. I’m new to Dior make up and I really was looking forward to the spring make up collection 🙁
Hey Rose! There’s another collection coming up soon for summer and the colors are quite different. Might be more to your taste 😊
It's seems to me that luxury makeup brands are going the same way fashion (clothes) houses went by making so many collections a year that it became to be fast fashion.

I’m a major cat person but I cringe at leopard print in makeup and fashion! The shades are pretty and I love seeing you trying it out though! It’s a pass from me to actually buy. I have those shades a thousand times over.

That color story really appeals to me, I love pink, I like the range of light to dark shades, I love mattes and satin finishes (dislike glitter), but... I hate animal print 😒

I think if the palette design had been predominantly leopard (or even a jacquard tonal pattern of leopard print) with a tiny subtle “Christian Dior” in the corner instead of splayed across the front in giant letters, it would have looked like an updated modern take on a classic animal print theme. As it is, the design of the packaging lacks the restraint and elegance of the subject matter, and if anything that style harkens back to a more spendy, extravagant, over the top time that feels not particularly current 34:43 .
Interesting points there. I think that this reminds me a lot of the design that they have on their handbags, such as the book tote. I think many times they try to match the design of the beauty items to what they are doing in the ready to wear in accessories line

Great review. Average looking palette. I especially dislike what looks like beige lace either side of the name on the lid. However the dramatic look you created was excellent and all the blushes you did worked as well. Pretty shadows but not something I need.
I want to like it but I don’t.
