I switched to metal bead baths a few years ago, and I'm never going back. They're easier to keep clean and they eliminate the need for both tube floats and bottle weights. The only time I ever use water for incubation is when I heat shock competent cells, and then I just use a well in a heat block.
We have this same fisher water bath in our lab at work and the machine tends to turn off completely several times throughout the day. Has anyone had this issue? And how did you fix it. I feel like we’re having to babysit it all day. Thank you
