  • One Week in One Minute - Episode 17. Not really a fully week, but a great long weekend. For Labor Day, my wife and I headed down to the Columbia River Gorge and camped at Beacon Rock State Park. We hiked to the top of Multnomah falls and drove through the waterfall corridor the next day. We capped off the morning by heading to Hood River where we got some amazing BBQ at Grassland Barbecue and a beer at Ferment Brewing. It was windy, so the windsurfers were out in force. I was only able to get couple decent bursts in, but stitched the pictures into a short video clip.
After two nights camping on the Washington side of the river, we headed out to the Oregon Coast to the Three Capes Scenic Loop. We got in to our campsite at Cape Lookout State Park right as it started raining. I thought Sunday was going to be a rainout, but the rain cleared and we got a great sunset. It was nearly a full moon, so the Milky Way was not visible. The Milky Way time lapse will have to wait for a couple more weeks, but the moon-lit landscapes were dramatic with clouds and fog rolling down the coast.
The return trip to Seattle found us making a detour to Mt. St. Helen’s. I cut that video as there wasn’t much exciting with the volcano. If I make a video of most boring time lapses, I will include that in there.
