A strongly recommended higher level upgrade is to complete the Fremennik Elite Area Achievements for the hybrid Fremennik Sea Boots 4. One of their passive effects is to automatically note bones from DKs, as well as increasing the damage you do to them by 10% with auto attacks and 5% with abilities. Unlocking them does require some fairly high stats, however.
