Went through a lot of guides on TH-cam for rax and this one by far is the best beginners guide. Everything is explained well and also happens to be the same rotation. It has made it much easier for a new pvmer. I made it to phase 3 for the first time. Thank you!
This is by far the most comprehensive and mindful guide that I have ever seen. I also really appreciate it done with lower end gear and not the insane billion gp setups, which usually makes me completely reconsider a boss. Subbed, and will be looking out for new content.
In all seriousness, good shit! I have 88 Araxxi kills, so I'm not new to the boss. I am however terrible at figuring out how combat works in this game and what abilities do what. Every guide I look up is chock full of so much information that it can really boggle one down. It's obvious that TheRSGuy knows what he's talking about, but does so so quickly it's near impossible to keep up with everything he's talking about unless you know yourself. At which point, why are you looking up a beginners guide? You however explain everything precisely enough to make sense while slowly enough to be understood! I actually added in a whole new Ability Bar to start using Defensive Abilities so I can finally get all of that down pact. Thank you for this video! You now have a new subscriber, and I'll be going through any of your other bossing guides as I get to bosses I want to take on or understand better.
Saw you post this on reddit, Subbed after watching. I'm a returning player (was playing OS but it got boring) and have no clue at all how to boss on RS3 with the updated combat. Definitely going to watch through and try all of your beginner boss guides.

reaper assignments are a great start.... they start you off with lower tier bosses and give them randomly so you can practice your abilities and mechanics... plus every 300 reaper points is like 70m gp

Your guides are 100% my favourite, the basics are the hardest thing to learn Using things like grimoire, fsoa, greater abilities etc is just dps increase to make it more efficient
Love the video! This style of guide is exactly what RuneScape players need for an introduction to a boss. A focus on mechanics in lieu of spending billions on gear is far more accessible to the player base.

@@Zinggy09RS i tried in practice mode today on the darkness path blocked, i died on arraxi but I didnt have my aura or my boosting prayers on for most of the arraxor fight, im a lot more confident ill get it soon
Fantastic guides, trying for Comp cape and this is one of the last achievements I have been putting off as I am a skiller! Was able to complete my first Rax kill tonight..very messy lol but done.. now for more practise!
Great guide, few things I'd like to add though: 1st the spider will heal any leftover hp from phases 1 and 2 most people try to get it around 5k hp before phasing (except down darkness path) 2: if minion path is open the spiders will spawn in a certain order (special will mean mirrorback or pulsing) 1st wave:normal,normal, special, normal, normal. 2nd:normal, special, normal, normal, normal. 3rd:special, normal x4. And 4th wave is all normal no special spiders. Another thing i always do is bring a shield you can use it gain adren during the web shield by using provoke, resonance, and preparation. If you go down middle path and you are letting the acid drip on the platform and a instant kill spider spawns don't be afraid to use barricade so you don't have to move to avoid it. This is the best araxxor guide i have seen. Its clear with examples that repeat. Maybe it is good to mention player owned farm buffs if you have spiders in your medium penns and the totem active to get 2 to 3% extra damage against spiders. Eddit: thanks to this guide i killed araxxor for the first time today i can wait for more guides!

Good guide bro. I appreciate you using lower level equipment to show it can be done. Which means that anyone can get more confidence because they’ll see this and think, I have something better than that piece or this piece.
Great guide, but I think you should have talked about the archaeology relics that would've helped in this boss fight like "Fury of the Small" which gives +1% adrenaline to basic abilities or "Berserker's Fury" which adds up to 5.5% damage based on missing hp or even "Death's Ward" which reduces damage received based on missing hp. All useful for beginners and relatively easy to get.
Im confused about the south path. I went through the path and exploded the egg sacks, made him smash the wall into ph3 area but yet he spawn minions and he doesnt take any damage.
Decimation is a great weapon! However, considering that it's currently 90m on the grand exchange, and the rest of my entire setup costs around 4m, I felt that I should focus more, on the less expensive gear! Decimation is a very very good upgrade though, so thank you for mentioning it! :)
Very honestly I'm not 100% sure how it works. I know for me, I spam click and spam surge when the cutscene hits and it skips every time. Sorry I don't know more!
fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu been trying all day long but the dark path makes me a looot of dmg (I cant see where is the light to stand) and dont understand how to get over phase 3 do I have to kill all the mini spiders before hitting araxxor ? why his life doesnt go down despite the dmg I do ? Is he inmune till i get rid of all the mini ones ? help :( PS. L+S :)
So if you're getting your first kills I would suggest killing all the little spiders before trying to kill araxxor! Otherwise they'll follow you in to the final phase and make it way harder. If you dont bring rax down to about 10k hp in both phase 1 and 2, she will heal that remaining health in phase 3, which is probably what's happening! Before phasing, make sure you deal enough damage, and take it slow! If you cant see the light on dark path, try taking the other one! Good luck :)
did you know if you use before every 4th attack anticipation or freedom switching between it can negate the sweep and the cocoon special attack? also bringing a shield for while shes webbed to do resonance and a ability like snipe is a good idea :)
Thanks this was great! I was wondering - if I used Corruption Shot on Araxxor before they go into the webbed cocoon, would the bleed effects reflect onto me?
Great question! Yes. If the bleed effect carries over to while shes webbed it will still reflect back on to you! That's also why items like the desthtouch bracelet aren't best in slot here, because if they reflect araxxors damage back to her, then it gets reflected back then there can be an endless loop of increasing damage!
Bleeds do reflect onto you during the web shield/web cocoon. This does negate the healing because Araxxi/Araxxor is taking damage. Fragmentation shot is the best range ability to use if you don't want her healing. However, if you're trying to learn, you 5k more health doesn't put you too far behind. edit: corruption shot will hurt you if it spreads to araxxor/araxxi during a mirrorback spider spawning.

Coming back to this for combat week! Just killed Araxxi twice and got a web on my first kill xD I died 4 times though which sucked but it was a great experience. I just dont understand how I keep getting hit so high despite proper (?) prayer flicking with devotion. Whenever Araxxi reaches around 5k health I just die from the putrid acid and the auto attacks lol. Btw which do you think is easier, Nex or Araxxi?
1) At 14:00, how did you suddenly go from 0% to 100% adrenaline? 2) At 21:00, you mention you were watching for 25% health so that you can use your adrenaline before it gets sapped away. But it doesn't look like you followed that advice. It looks like you could have at least used one of your thresholds. Were you trying to wait for your ultimate? Or did you accidentally miss the opportunity?
If you still need answers. 1: he uses another clip after he gets to the boss, hence the jump from 0 to 100 adrealine. 2: he used rapid fire as araxxis hp went to 25%
Your bar is backwards, for best Revo dps you should have ults and thresh on the left and basics on the right so Revo will always choose an ult over a basic or a thresh and a thresh over a basic
I feel like there are so many beginners arraxxor guides. I still watch all of them and take bits and pieces from each video and add them to my strategy. What I really want to see is a Pro arraxor guide. How to get fast kills with the least amount of food and do this up to its max of 300% enrage. I have no problem until about 160 enrage but at the same time even in lower enrages I use way too much food.
If you're using way too much food, then either your DPS is bad or your prayer flicking and basic defensive use is bad. There's no real other way around it, because the longer the fight goes, the higher Araxxor/Araxxi's enrage will get and the harder and more accurately they'll hit. I'd highly recommend you look into proper DPS guides, especially more up to date ones.
@@TrueChaoSclx With an optimal guide everyone could see how exactly its done. I only prayer flick phase 4. Are you telling me im supposed to do that the entire fight? My defensives are decent. Not sure where else exactly I would use it besides anticipating that 5th attack or in the darkness path. How exactly does one kill arraxi quick as all hell in phase 4? Ive seen it done where she is dead in seconds. How?? This is why I am suggesting a pro version cause there are already about 10+ beginner guides out there that are about 90% the same thing and maybe 10% something new that has not been covered before. I have yet to come across an arraxi pro/optimal guide on youtube. If there is one then someone point me towards its direction.
@@uli3119 Part of the problem is that optimal DPS is *a really complicated topic.* The best advice I can honestly give is to get on Discord and join the PvM Encyclopedia server. They cover literally everything you could think to ask about more advanced bossing. Regarding prayer flicking - yes, if you want to use less food, you should learn to flick Soul Split. Flicking between Soul Split and the relevant defensive prayer can save you a significant amount of food in the long run.

I try to make things as accessable as possible! More often than not, curses aren't actually better until you reach 95 prayer, so by using normal prayer book I lower requirements, and make sure I'm leveling the playing field :)
I absolutely hate this boss with a passion. The obscenities I have used while fighting it i cannot repeat here. Just had it for a reaper task and got 2 kills no problem. Then since I got a top leg i decided to start doing acid path. Supposed to be "easier". I end up going through it with barely any food. Get the acid to 100%, move her over the bridge, drains all 100% of the acid and the bridge still doesn't break. Happened multiple attempts. I am done with this boss for a while.

1) At 14:00, how did you suddenly go from 0% to 100% adrenaline?
2) At 21:00, you mention you were watching for 25% health so that you can use your adrenaline before it gets sapped away. But it doesn't look like you followed that advice. It looks like you could have at least used one of your thresholds. Were you trying to wait for your ultimate? Or did you accidentally miss the opportunity?
If you still need answers. 1: he uses another clip after he gets to the boss, hence the jump from 0 to 100 adrealine. 2: he used rapid fire as araxxis hp went to 25%
Your bar is backwards, for best Revo dps you should have ults and thresh on the left and basics on the right so Revo will always choose an ult over a basic or a thresh and a thresh over a basic

Araxxor is actually the male spider you fight in phase 1-3.
Araxxi is the female spider you fight in phase 4.

I feel like there are so many beginners arraxxor guides. I still watch all of them and take bits and pieces from each video and add them to my strategy. What I really want to see is a Pro arraxor guide. How to get fast kills with the least amount of food and do this up to its max of 300% enrage. I have no problem until about 160 enrage but at the same time even in lower enrages I use way too much food.
If you're using way too much food, then either your DPS is bad or your prayer flicking and basic defensive use is bad. There's no real other way around it, because the longer the fight goes, the higher Araxxor/Araxxi's enrage will get and the harder and more accurately they'll hit. I'd highly recommend you look into proper DPS guides, especially more up to date ones.
@@TrueChaoSclx With an optimal guide everyone could see how exactly its done. I only prayer flick phase 4. Are you telling me im supposed to do that the entire fight? My defensives are decent. Not sure where else exactly I would use it besides anticipating that 5th attack or in the darkness path. How exactly does one kill arraxi quick as all hell in phase 4? Ive seen it done where she is dead in seconds. How?? This is why I am suggesting a pro version cause there are already about 10+ beginner guides out there that are about 90% the same thing and maybe 10% something new that has not been covered before. I have yet to come across an arraxi pro/optimal guide on youtube. If there is one then someone point me towards its direction.
@@uli3119 Part of the problem is that optimal DPS is *a really complicated topic.* The best advice I can honestly give is to get on Discord and join the PvM Encyclopedia server. They cover literally everything you could think to ask about more advanced bossing.
Regarding prayer flicking - yes, if you want to use less food, you should learn to flick Soul Split. Flicking between Soul Split and the relevant defensive prayer can save you a significant amount of food in the long run.

I try to make things as accessable as possible! More often than not, curses aren't actually better until you reach 95 prayer, so by using normal prayer book I lower requirements, and make sure I'm leveling the playing field :)

I absolutely hate this boss with a passion. The obscenities I have used while fighting it i cannot repeat here. Just had it for a reaper task and got 2 kills no problem. Then since I got a top leg i decided to start doing acid path. Supposed to be "easier". I end up going through it with barely any food. Get the acid to 100%, move her over the bridge, drains all 100% of the acid and the bridge still doesn't break. Happened multiple attempts. I am done with this boss for a while.
