Overwatch is weird because I can play Sojourn and be accused of smurfing or asked where I get my adderall in one match, then 3 matches later I've got someone saying to report me for throwing or telling me to never queue dps again
Lol that sounds like me on Ashe! Hitting every shot, deleting their backline one game...then I'm going 1-10 and couldn't hit the side of a barn with BOB 😂
(Keeping in mind, I'm a support main so I only recently hopped on dps. Other fps appear to have helped my aim)
You’re being placed with people who are higher ranked than you/ people who think they’re higher ranked than you, and with people who are lower ranked than you/ people who think they’re lower ranked than you.
this is every video game ever. in low ranks, people are less consistent and have a lot of on and off games. its pretty normal actually. happens with me as well lol
I went 33-1 and 0-8 the very next game. Both games on tracer against pretty much the same comp. Happens
Lol literally 😂 I’ll get a few matches where even the enemy team will be like “damn dva whole game was running from you” and then others my teams like “gg no tank” but this is just humans really. We also don’t always play our best.
seeing chat say high ground doesn't exist in metal ranks is hilarious because someone screamed at me on vc to get off of high ground. what happened after i listened to them? the enemy team took high ground and because i was the only one trying to contest the high ground, we lost. i tried to stay with team for a bit, but, damn, it made me so angry.
Just because you can't control that you play with stupidity doesn't mean you have to play for stupidity 💯

Maybe their rank is silver 4 but the game was like bronze 3 to silver 3 type stuff, which still technically makes it a bronze game :shrug:
To clarify, it's based on their description saying they're having trouble maintaining staying out of Bronze 5. At the time of this recording they did have a Silver 4 peak, but as stated they keep getting dragged back down. Hope that helps!

I’ve been accused of smurfing by a gm smurf 😭 but also I went from silver 3 to plat 4 in about a month after taking a big break from comp.
I got accused of smurfing in bronze right before I climbed out.
13:13 nah that always happens to me playing Kiriko. Ill tp in to help my tank, then a second later Doom will ult, Winston will jump away, or Dva will nope out leaving me there with my abilities on cooldown and Im just like welp guess Ill die.
Thats why you have to be selfish, think that you're the only constant in your game and the other 4 variables (bots) why should you die if your tank overextended ? its his fault for dying, not yours for not saving him

I remember on one of my good days, I was playing Doomfist, and started absolutely steamrolling the other team. They tried countering with a hog and a Sombra, but it wasn’t enough, so they accused me of smurfing. Never felt better.

This is my daily experience. Stuck in high silver, low gold but constantly accused of smurfing or using aim bot. That’s just the reality of solo queue and/or playing with lower rank friends.
I’m not even saying I’m great… but more likely thinking that Blizzard still has quite a bit of work to do on the ranking system.
People who accuse you of smurfing in low ELO are in low ELO for a reason.
i wish my team were acused of that i main support i can have 0 deaths and 20k healing i will still losse (my team forgets that i do have a limit to how much i can heal)

welcome to solo queueing, for solo players there is barely any skill involved in this game, its mostly luck
