That last line ''Paimon was so scared that you had gone into another world!'' hits hard when you knowing that at the end of this journey we probably say goodbye to Paimon and go back to our world
Or maybe she can be able to come with either Travelers and possibly the other npc form of the Travelers to their homeland instead.
traveler has no world to go back to. Home is whenever he reunites with his siblings.

I dare to say that Koga did cry and let it seep to her voice both to characterize Paimon herself, and conveying her care towards the travelers (Aether and Lumine) when they're gone.
Man.. Hearing Paimon cry in JP made me shed tears. You can really feel the emotion.
Let me just point out how Nahida sounds waaaaay more mature in CN and JP than in English or Korean.

This. This is why I always choose the kindest dialogue possible with her. She sounded so hurt and helpless I had to take a minute just to process it. It genuinely felt like I betrayed her and it triggered memories where I also got abandoned and hurt.

I play with JP VA and I thought that snippet of Paimon crying to Kosekimaru was sad enough, this scene had me tearing up. Koga really nailed the emotions
Not gonna lie, KR one was surprisingly really good. I understand nothing that she said, but I can feel the sorrow in her tone. Gotta give the VA the praise she deserves. Though, my favourite is still JP, I even cried when I play it in the game
(I understand English and Japanese, and very little Chinese. But 0 on KR)
KR dub is so underrated, they're really good especially their male voices 😭

Aether didn't see his twin sister for a very long time so it's understandable he tried to chase her without thinking too much.
They’re only in Teyvat now because they got stopped, they wanted to leave already.

Aoi Koga always do her best, every Paimon dialog has special feeling, with simple dialog "ahh.. memories" after waiting traveler all day hurt me so much
Paimon cry is what broke me, I actually cried too (the second was dunyarzad). It makes me think of happy crying for natsu. Paimon will always be our best comrade til the end.
Jp Paimon always puts me in the feels. Reminds me of when paimon was apologetic (almost crying) after Collei shouted dont touch me
So this is why Paimon always makes us turn back when we reach the edge of the map...
I only heard this scene in enghlish and I definitely grow more attached to paimon (I almost cried) but HOLY CRAP the japanese version makes me wanna cry more. She's really growing in her character.

Paimon's Japanese voice and Korean voice sound almost exactly the same. If I didn't know Aoi Koga was Paimon's JP VA and someone told me that the Korean and Japanese voice actor are the same person just speaking different language, I would've believed them!
Well, I think Japanese and Korean are kinda in the same language family.

I cried on this moment with my JP version, Paimon is really like a little baby. I truly can't understand those ppl who hate her for her goblin mode and silly phrases, it is obvious the writers created her as a dumbo, a little spoiled but loyal and naive child.

I know probably I'm biased bc of having heard it so many times, but istg even after hearing all the others, I just feel like the jp va is the best. Best fitting voice for Paimon and also best acted out. She sounded sad, she sounded angry, she was screaming bc of her strong emotions without it being too loud or annoying. And truly her voice just really seems the best fitting for Paimon to me.
And it's not a being used to a language thing rlly bc I've watched the same amount of kdramas that I've had animes, and I also watched some cdramas, so it's not that. I actually really enjoy hearing them talk but for some reason hearing actors in a drama feels different from hearing voice actors in a game.
But we know jp va's are just a thousand times more experienced in voice acting thanks to anime, at least that's how it looks like to me. Japanese people always have such strong, potent voices and their screams in particular are always so wonderful. They really shine when voice acting.
For example I heard Collei's scream in the english voice acting and it felt nothing like the sheer terror scream that the jp va managed to do. It literally jumpscared me bc I was looking somewhere else and I'm not easy to fright. She really sounded terrified to death.

I only play on english just because i like understanding what im hearing and not just reading. But i agree. The japanese voice in this scene is heartbreaking. Especially her cry. I teared up. Its definitely the best one

I think English and Korean are more suitable for Paimon. On the other hand, I think Japanese and Chinese are not suitable for Paimon at all because Paimon is 1000+ years old, so her voice sounded very childish compared to her age.

@@i-love-anime-idols The first time I heard it, I got the emotion they want to convey correctly. I felt genuinely sad for Paimon. "No sadness detected" is probably just for you and some other people, but for me, I registered the sadness very well. English dub still did a great job. Please try not to discredit it too much.
When I stumbled upon these JP dubs though, I was also amazed. JP dub definitely did a really good job, especially in this sobbing scene. Personally, I can feel it stronger than the EN dub. Next time I'll definitely try JP dub.

I legitimately cried when I played this part of the event. She was so concerned for us travelers and the hug was the cutest. The Chinese va (which is what I play in), was what made me cry. Her voice seemed so full of worry. It just hurt me

While KR sound like she's crying more, JP sound like she like Traveler so much, that she miss them extreme much.

i cried my eyes out playing this part bc i felt so sad for her, finally crying for once. but i surprisingly think the korean and japanese lines have the most emotion, the crying in the korean audio is so heartbreaking
I watch JP one first then switch to ENG , couldn't help laughing , the gap is just way too big to fill.
When Paimon said all this My heart got hit by a tank. And I felt all of it, it broke my heart so much that she got so worried and it was a real emotional moment for me that I even cried
CN for me tbh. The way it was delivered just felt so natural and not "dramatised" like the other dubs.
That's the whole point tho? She was that scared of losing the protag, is not dramatized is her raw reaction

This, CN may not be the best, but it reminds me of how my siblings used to cry. For me, it sounds the most realistic.

Aight although i can agree all the VAs did a good job, the JP one’s gotta be the best one imo. It has this sheer sense of desperation in jp paimon’s voice that the others don’t really have as much of. She legit sounds like an abandoned child. The pouty-ness after is a nice touch too.
Korean and Japanese dub of Paimon voice definitely have more emotional punch than english dub. Damn I almost my eyes tears.

I'm personally impartial to the english and japanese dub. I know many people don't like Paimon in English... I may be bias as I've traveled with English Paimon since launch... I prefer English. It's not as bad as people think. I honestly think the problem lies mostly with the fact you can understand what she's saying verses knowing how said lines should be delivered.
That said all 4 languages do a stellar job. :)
Early-game English Paimon is 17 trillion times better than current Paimon. The VA lead guy chose to make her higher-pitched for some stupid reason.
Thats where u'r wrong bucko, i (mostly) understand chinese, and my biggest problem with eng is that she speaks to us like dora, not an actual person. Then again, it could be because of translation issues, since cn & jp (idk bout kr) loves to repeat sentences naturally. Same example with metal gear solid
