HOLY SHIT THIS IS AMAZING! The voice acting, the art direction, the characterzation, the little jokes and references (the humans animated bit had me dying). This is a wonderful love letter to Transformers while still feels like it's an actual episode ot one of the cartoons. Bravo to the crew on this amazing Pilot!

This has been an absolute blast (hehe) thank you all for joining us throughout the journey of these combat icons!!!
The best part about the Combaticons is that they really seem to stick to their character bios to a certain degree (something we don’t often see in transformers), and any changes they do experience feel natural to those characters.
Brawl was meant to be a loud, proud, and belligerent tank, but for some reason making arguably the strongest Combaticons just an chill and seemingly apathetic character just feels funny and right.
Blast Off was meant to be the snobbish sniper of the crew, who snipes from orbit. Now with this version of Blast Off, my head canon is that he is a sniper mainly because he is scared of dying and wants to be as far away from battle as possible
Swindle is perfect, like a natural extension of his G1 bio.
Vortex is also perfect! (Incoming potentially “political” point so just hear me out) I didn’t mind her gender change one bit, simply because everything that makes Vortex “Vortex” was there (the insane, impulsive member of the group who needs to be reigned in more often than the rest) and the hint of the potentially tragic backstory of losing everyone she loves is a very interesting extension. And the fact that she seemed like she was going to develop as a character and in the end points out that she won’t because of Swindle is just God-their comedy and I love it!
And then there’s Onslaught, who I love in every respect! I love his characterization as a somewhat overzealous leader of a bunch of outcasts, and the idea that while he in his mind is a brilliant strategist, in reality he is a bit egotistical and his strategies have a tendency to cause more harm than help to his allies, which I love!
And then Bruticus, that was hilarious! Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think we’ve seen the individual limbs actually argue with themselves, especially doing the hand and feet miming. Me and my friend both got a huge kick out of that. And the fact that they were defeated so quickly as Bruticus just goes to show they have a long way of character development ahead of them, which I am excited to see. Actually, I wonder if Bruticus will gain his own personality soon enough? Like imagine a horror episode where something similar to what happened in Transformers Galaxy’s “Constructicons Rising” comic happens (they are all combined and trying to accomplish a task then suddenly their “personalities” get pulled into the mental abyss and the rage-filled Bruticus takes over). Either way, I’m glad my favorite combiner is back!
In the end, I’m so glad I’m seeing my favorite Decepticon group get the justice they have deserved for so long

Onslaught is my favourite, from design to characterisation, HE’S TOO GOOD.
Vortex and Whirl would get along well, her personality is memorable and so glad for the humour.
Swindle’s incessant goofy ads are akin to Saul Goodman, and all it does is make want to buy whatever he advertises! The TFA influence is strong with this one. Impeccable.
Don’t worry, Brawl, I feel your pain. As one of the handful of people to miss Animated dearly. (Guess Thundercracker made it in the film industry! Good for him.)
Blast Off seems so beaten down and anxious all the time… hope he gets better soon?

The Chris McFeely cameos got me, LOL, I was essentially doing the ‘pointing incel’ meme at my screen from shock and happiness.
You can feel the personality and how much love was put into this. It’s beautiful and I’d wait an eternity for more, peace.

I expected this to be a good fan animation, not a GREAT full-lenght episode already surpassing several "formal" cartoons! This was absolutely incredible, congratulations to all the team, you guys hit it out of the *galaxy*

I’ve never watched anything transformers so I had no clue what was going on. This is still incredibly impressive though. The entire team did great work here.
When Vortext was supposed to have her character-arc, Swindle ruined it all. Megatron had a stroke and died. And @Chris Mcfeely was there. Cant wait to see Humans Animated. This was all just a TA reference.

I never knew I could love Vortex this much until you got your hands on her. Heck, I never thought I’d care about frikkin Professor Princess until you got your mitts on her.
I see a lot of Dimlit in how Blast Off was characterized as a nebbish nervous wreck.
That Animated Swindle cameo was GOLDEN. Easily the best of the multiverse cameos.
I feel ya on Humans Animated’s cancellation, Brawl. This more relaxed “I don’t give a frag” Scottish fanboy characterization is probably the one I least expected out of him, and yet it’s weirdly fitting. Better than the noisy hall of rage he normally is.
Character designs are phenomenal all around. Glad to see Astrotrain’s got a conductor hat!
I feel like the Chris McFeely bits were funny at first as a send-up of The Basics, but that last one was painfully unfunny. You mean to tell me everything we just watched was an in-universe episode of The Basics?
This might have Animated beat when it comes to “soonest that Optimus dies”.
Why was RID 2015 one of the first universes to be erased? I know it’s not great in the grand scheme of things, but it’s not the Beast or Kiss Players level bad. Besides, if anything deserved to be wiped, it would be everything from Lost Light #1 through Optimus Prime issue 25.
Would've replaced revenge of the fallen and RID 15 with Transformers Energon and bot bots.
Also why those particular comics?
Why BotBots? It’s doing what it set out to do and it’s got its own little niche.
I really didn’t like Optimus Prime (the comic) and Lost Light because OP seemed focused on tearing down its title character at every turn (also Slide is the worst), Lost Light felt like a bumbling mess with no real sense of direction after the Functionist universe arc got things off on the right foot, and both lose points from me for essentially discarding the more spiritual side of the franchise in the name of “dEcOnSTRuCtIon.”
@@EternityKingdomsHeadHoncho still did better than Game of Thrones "deconstructing" fantasy in my opinion. Besides I think you are kinda over reacting a bit to how these concepts were handled. If prime didn't face some adversities personal or external than we don't have any real story. The comics did a good job at always keeping things in motion and trying new things with characters that while out there end up working given context.
I just picked Bot Bots because I needed a second and honestly I have lighten up on beast machines over time

Mostly for me, I saw the live action Onslught, animated swindle, g1 vortex, comic brawl, and fall of cybertron blast off
I'm so happy to see this come to fruition! The animation is surprisingly high quality for such a small team and budget. And I love how the documentary explains who the Princess is while the screen floats into space. It accomplishes the role of a narrator for a show that doesn't want one. That idea in particular caught my eye.

okay, that multiverse sequence was insane. swindle fighting Animated swindle. the cameo of FOC blastoff. poor onslaught getting choke-held by bayverse brawl. seeing all the versions of bruticus across the universes.
Ok HOLY PRIMUS that was AMAZING!!! We NEED Transformers shows like this, and I'm so hopeful we'll eventually get a full series! HUGE "We're Not Worthy!" to everyone who worked on this masterpiece!

This is probably the best piece of Transformers related Fan Media out there, and now quite Possibly, my favorite, you can tell it's a labor of love and care for this franchise that only a full fledged fan could deliver, I really hope this continues because I'm fully invested in these characters, and honestly I kinda want in on the fun too, but I all seriousness this was a blast to watch and had a surprising amount of heart which is always great to see
That was one of the coolest fan Animation, that I ever saw from the Combaticons. The Combaticons are my favourite from the Decepticon Combiner team. Vortex is my favourite in there. They all have great designs and personality.

I can clearly see the inspiration from animated as in taking overlooked characters and giving them a creative story and personalities. This is absolutely brilliant and is a breath of fresh air in the polluted nostalgic cloud that is the fandom currently. This is what I dreamed I would see ever since the bar of my personal preferences was set by TFA. I want to support this project by any means necessary.
It’s sooooo goood man. Reference humor works so much more when coming from a passionate group of genuine fans.

i love that vortex has different body part like she destroyed hers out of recklessness and had to replace them
this is soooo so so creative and funny and compelling!!! You can really recognize the inspiration drawn from the other shows reviewed on this channel, and that inspiration is used in such clever new ways. I think my favorite subtle detail (out of like... hundreds of amazing details) is the jpeg of a toaster just slightly floating off in the background at 8:00. Just the right amount of comedically timed absurdism

Ohhh my goodness. I finally had the time to sit down and watch this for real and THIS WAS AMAZING. The cast, designs, and story were all so charming! I never thought I’d be a fan of the Combaticons, but you and the team have 1000% proven me wrong. Every character was well-written and funny, and I loved all the gags, including the final payoff of who really broke the pipes. Humans Animated was amazing, as was Brawl’s entire speech of dedication to it I loved how Swindle casually has a ton of other powerful callbacks and references in his inventory, and I really like the way all the characters were designed! Vortex in particular was really refreshing to see, and I loved the variety of mouth animations! The multiverse sequence was an absolute treat and had me laughing, so so so much. And the post credits scene at the end, not only with Nightbird but Astrotrain as well, mwah! And the credits art, showing a bit of each characters’ origins oh my goodness. And making Professor Princess the villain? Genius, utter genius. I loved how you made her both menacing as a threat and comedic at the same time, and I like how you showed love to some more niche characters! (Also Tarn in the credits? You have my love forever). Overall, I loved this and I wish you all the success and happiness!

Scottish Brawl was something I didn't know I needed so badly until now
Though I am personally not a fan of brawl having a mouth and two eyes but the positives out way the negative
I love the use of live action elements or other animation styles i was so shocked when i saw swindle in his G1 toy form i got lego movie vibes from it and i loved that bit
And the references were spot on I loved the that was brutal no that was was bruticus from the G2 toy commerical and seeing the combaticons meet some of their counter parts

Guys, this was incredible! I truly loved how equally important all the characters were, and especially the scene where they fell thru the Multiverse! I really hope you make a second one eventually, and I really think you should do the one idea, where all of the Sideways battle the Combaticons! Can't wait for more Combaticons!

Great job. On one hand I love Transformers Animated inspirations and om the other you managed to make those guys your own. The style and quality of aniamation look good and fit this version of characters. The setup and plot are interesting and fun, especially when sprinkled with a bit of crazy and healthy dose of easter eggs. I also really enjoyed your take on all of the characters and the chemistry they share. Maybe a liiiiiitle bit too much one-note approach to Swindle but was worth it for the punchline. I had a blast (off) with this and am looking forward to the next one!
If onslaught and Vortex don't get together by the end of this I'm gonna lose it.
