Best channel around. Dizzee was so influential for me. I had the privilege of growing up to Jungle, D&B and Garage in the 90s. Then Grime happened and hearing the roughness and how Dizzee changed the way MC’s spit bars I started becoming a Grime fan as well as changing the way I MC. I done it for fun and am glad to see the UK scene develop to what it is today with so many successful artists. Dizzee is a GOAT and paved the way. Thanks LadBible this was very insightful.

Always respected him... he went out, and made it.
As a South Londonder Myself, I get the struggles breaking free from a council estate.
The struggles you go through are unlike many other places.
But, as he said, community, the memories, its a strong place that builds strong character.
Crazy, I grew up to his music, he's only 35?? WOW...

Boy in Da Corner is easily the best grime album ever and considering he produced most of it and was a kid when he made it, it's an insanely good piece of work.
I don't like his pop stuff or his recent forays back into grime but that's his choice. Either way he's etched his name in music history forever and his talent is undeniable.

He became a number one because he made songs like bonkers and got a few number ones when he was independent which is a testament to his penmanship because prior to that he was signed. But Boy In Da Corner album will forever be the Grime Bible it's basically the book of Genesis in this case the book of Dizzee Rascal. The man is a Black British Icon...facts or facts? Dizzee's easily got some of my favourite lyrics. They ring so true.
    🎵Hard back:
You need a hard back, stern face, play your position and know your place
Only move when the money's calling, take my advice you'll be ballin'
Don't go spending all your money 'til it's gone
'Cause the tax man's gonna want his paper when it's due
And there's nobody above the tax man especially you
And another thing, buy your house before you buy your car
Don't tell no-one where you are, even better if you're far
Everybody knows you're gangsta and that Porsche looks great
But do you really want it sitting on that council estate?
Differently, watch where you choose to socialise
Keep an eye out for trouble, watch for devils in disguise
🎵 You've Got The Dirtee Love:
Check it, yo, let me take you down to London city
Where the attitude's bad and the weather is
Everybody's on a paper chase, it's one big rat race
Everybody's got a screw face, so many two-face
    Everybody wants to be famous
Nobody wants to be nameless, aimless
People act shameless, tryna live like entertainers
Want a fat crib with the acres
So they spend money that they ain't made yet
Got a Benz on tik that they ain't paid yet
