Best channel around. Dizzee was so influential for me. I had the privilege of growing up to Jungle, D&B and Garage in the 90s. Then Grime happened and hearing the roughness and how Dizzee changed the way MC’s spit bars I started becoming a Grime fan as well as changing the way I MC. I done it for fun and am glad to see the UK scene develop to what it is today with so many successful artists. Dizzee is a GOAT and paved the way. Thanks LadBible this was very insightful.

As a South Londonder Myself, I get the struggles breaking free from a council estate.
The struggles you go through are unlike many other places.
But, as he said, community, the memories, its a strong place that builds strong character.
Crazy, I grew up to his music, he's only 35?? WOW...
He's only a few years older than me. For some reason I see people who made it big as being much older, not sure why that is.

Watch his James English podcast on here with him such a good watch dizzee such a good guy I met him and plastered his studio and was asked to help him move house and did and met him day his maths and English album come out he gave me a load of signed stuff such a good guy and can approach him and chat about his music and he had a laugh as well

I remember watching him do a jungle set back in the day, he's a legend.
Boy in Da Corner is easily the best grime album ever and considering he produced most of it and was a kid when he made it, it's an insanely good piece of work.
I don't like his pop stuff or his recent forays back into grime but that's his choice. Either way he's etched his name in music history forever and his talent is undeniable.

He became a number one because he made songs like bonkers and got a few number ones when he was independent which is a testament to his penmanship because prior to that he was signed. But Boy In Da Corner album will forever be the Grime Bible it's basically the book of Genesis in this case the book of Dizzee Rascal. The man is a Black British Icon...facts or facts? He doesn't get the respect he deserve because of the commercial days but the man performed at the Olympic opening ceremony to 1 billion people. He's literally top 5 biggest music icons in UK history.

His first album was pure punk. He really had something to say and had a talent with how he said it. His performance at electric proms here on YT is really good.
I heard Boy in da Corner years ago and was hooked. Much respect to Dizzee Rascal..

When he says 'BLESSED' at the end it was like a sample from his feature on Ocean Wizdom's track.
Met him at the 2012 Olympic ceremonies at rehearsals. He was a really cool guy, very humble.
