Construction problem!!!

In this episode we discover that we have a problem with the windlass. Actually, it is not the windlass that is the problem, but feeding the chain into the chainbox.
We can still use it although it is a little more difficult than we thought when we do the construction.
But problems are meant to be solved.
First some sailing. We sailing south along Sweden's east coast.
A pleasant sailing with sunshine, good speed and nice winds.

I'm sorry you have the problem. My idea that might help is to have the pipe go at an angle down to the box so you can use gravity to keep the chain flowing into the box. You already have gravity of the anchor going into the water. I don't know it's my only idea.

That may be easier than moving the windlass and worth a try. Looking forward to see how you resolve the issue.

Thanks, sometimes your solution doesn't work out as you want. We have thought about the angle of the pipe. We should be happy if that solution works. Thanks for sharing your idea.

We need to fix the problem and will share it when it's done. We need to test all the solutions to find the best one ☺️

Maybe instead of a narrow tube, a U shaped ramp coated inside with slipery plastic (similar to the plastic of a cutting board)
