Brilliant video as always. The unloading was slightly more difficult than expected, as we only found out late in the day, that the trailer didn't have a winch, so the two tippler wagons were used as barrier vehicles along with the Ruston shunting loco to pull Ajax off the trailer. With everyone knowing what was needed, the operation was completed safely and efficiently, start to finish in 4 hours.
Hi purple x Ryan x co 😊 Interesting footage, thanks for sharing 👍 BTW I got notification that a steam TWAIIIIN is now restored and is being moved from Peterboroughs Nene valley railway up north to a museum. It was a small picture but i could see it was green with gold pinstriping.
92 Regiment from NVR went on the same day. NVR would have had lots of promotion from many different people. Where as my favourite railway, the NLR didn't want that and kept Ajax's arrival on the down low. I'm very grateful they chose us to film. Sad I wasn't there in person but very lucky to have Ryan as dedicated as he is
Ajax is going to be missed on the island but it will be nice to have her get loved instead of just being a museum peace and a extra buffer in train story for the four wheelers (that was the reason why she was where she was in train story)

@PurpleandCoRailwayAdventures 92 REGIMENT. Surely a Battle of Britain locomotive bears an RAF, not army, name.
Honestly I've only ever seen her once whilst on a shed tour. I do lack the knowledge so thanks for the correction. I'll know for the future
@@PurpleandCoRailwayAdventures 92 squadron. For good army names, class 45 peaks are/were as good as any. 'The royal artilliaryman' etc etc.

She'll be really enjoyed up here. I have no doubt the NLR team will do you all proud
