Ive followed and supported the railway since it had 100 yards of track! Used to walk the track bed with my brother long before track was relaid! I thought it now ran from WAREHAM (BR LINK) to Swanage? 🤔
The rails and more recently full signalling do run into wareham yes. But normal services still operate only as far as Norden. To operate further would require a run round loop for a start, and to operate fully over the BR last mile needed the dmus to be brought to modern standards which was delayed long before the plague of 2020
