This looks exactly what I'm after. Can't seem to find a UK distributor. Shipping is $49.99 making it just under $500. Worried that I'll be hit with a customs charge on top of that. Did you that happen with yours? Thanks.
Hi Thanks for watching. Yes I did get hit with a £91 customs import charge which I had to pay fedex via their website a couple days before delivery. I had an email which I thought at first was a scam but I didn't click any links in the email and instead googled fedex and logged in manually to make sure. It is shipped from China despite being a US company. Don't let that put you off. This firewall/router combo is a beast! Top notch network security and deep insights into every devices connections. Intrusion detection and prevention to boot! If you do go ahead please use my link which has no additional cost to you but supports my channel. firewalla.com/?rfsn=7967250.640af7 Thanks for watching and don't forget to like and subscribe. Welcome onboard 🖖
@@KLTechVideos I really do like the look of it but £500 with the duties and shipping is giving me pause. That is a lot. I absolutely will use your link if I go down that route. Thanks for the overviews on it.
@@OutOfMySystem I see your concern. Also the warranty is only 1 year and you have to cover all the shipping costs. That is another thing that is putting me off. Shame really.
It's a fantastic product. Don't let the inbuilt speed test sway your opinion. There are plenty of ways to get accurate tests of speed. Near the bottom of this page titled for pros: there is a really accurate speed test from Ookla which performs admirably. help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/360056875493-Speed-Tests-and-Speed-Optimization-with-Firewalla thanks for watching my video don't forget to like and subscribe and welcome onboard 🖖
I'm in the exact same boat at you with my gold SE. Love firewalla. Love the gold SE. Currently I'm getting 1.6gbps down and 112mbps up. A new fibre provider is about to move into the area Youfibre with up to 8Gb symmetrical 🤯🤯🤯. So my plan is. Bite the bullet and get the gold pro, then when that's here and in sell my gold SE which I've only had since September last year so it's in perfect condition like new. 👍 Thanks for watching and don't forget to like and subscribe 🖖 welcome onboard 👍

but can you program it to block entire sub nets and or entire blocks of ip addresses and or only leave the ip addresses threw without having to type ever ip address that you want blocked. Thanks Not sure if that is clear enough question.
Hey thanks for watching. Yes you can do all that. That is a basic function of this device. In the firewalla app you would go to rules > Add Rule > Block > Matching > IP address range enter the IP address range such as 10.0.0.0/24 you can also at this point block specific ports on that range too and protocols such as TCP > Then choose where this rule applies (For example across the entire network or on specific devices and/or groups > You can even choose when this rule is applied so 24/7 or at your custom schedule. I hope that helps. Don't forget to like and subscribe and welcome onboard 🖖
Its a fantastic strong firewall with simple to use mobile app and powerful features. If you do buy it please consider using my official link from firewalla which adds no extra cost to you but supports my channel. Thanks! firewalla.com/?rfsn=7967250.640af7
Hey thanks for watching. This is not a travel router. It's designed to stay in one place. You could buy a firewalla purple (make sure it's the one with Wi-Fi built-in) from the same company which is more geared to be a travel router with most of the same features. It does have it's own DNS server and a few options with that. Unbound, DNS over https, NTP intercept. Beast of a router/firewall combo range. www.firewalla.com is what you need. I also heavily recommend the slate ax as a travel router! Check out my video here: th-cam.com/video/cwuQ4tubxno/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Mt-ozpQZCMQWRJ7j Don't forget to like and subscribe and welcome onboard 🖖

Nice overview. Just ordered Firewalla myself and was hopeful that the speed test would be reliable. What a shame.

Great video.
I like how you can send outbound traffic over public VPN. wonder if this feature available in other firewalls too?
