You will pay dearly for insurance premiums, replacements when out of warranty, service charges (Tesla charges 175$ just to diagnose an issue), expensive repairs which is why even for small damages the insurance will write it off as total loss, FSD is money down the drain if you sell or total loss your car, and resale value is going down because no one wants to deal with a failed battery(15$~) out of warranty! If you really car about the environment and your wallet at the same time, buy a used non-electric efficient car that you can afford with cash. Or worse, buy a used Tesla if you can afford the ownership costs.
I dont think that you will get almost same price after two, because these batteries tend to drain battery after 7-8 years so car is still a loss making thing
