The only thing I disagree with is when you said hammer struggles to kill. Its the only weapon that has four viable kill options, not to mention that it has the most force in the game and has multiple true kill confirms
I'm ngl I don't think I ever heard Pav complain about anything he's pretty positive overall. I definitely wouldn't be calling it overpowered by any means and Diamond/Valhallan probably has the most lance abuse in the game
I think Pav has complained about how hard it is to punish Lance and I agree tbh. A good Lance player especially an Ulgrim or an Artemis abusing ssig can be a nightmare to punish
yeah i would def put scythe one place behind hammer, cause even though scythe has all those extra moves theres so many combo options that its a braindead weapon
@ why are you limiting hammer to stomp sair lol thats like me saying “Try hammer in ranked bruh, way harder than scythe weak slight dair” see how that sounds?
@Nautlius01 Is kinda hard to say tbh. hammer does have some of the easiest combos in the game (like stomp sair, stomp slight, stomp dair, etc) that are also true. while scythe does have more strings, very few moves are confirmed even after a dodge read. So I think hammer is easier to learn, but less rewarding at high elo
W video. I’m also consistently around 2200 and I used to share your opinions on top three. I’ve changed that in recent months. I still think blasters are the toughest, but I’d put hammer as number 2 or 3. Great sword up there too. I don’t think Greatsword is tough personally, but I also learned it when I had a solid understanding of dashing and movement in general. I think it’s boosted because no one knows how to fight it. I can’t tell you how many people run for their damn life when I play GS. Even before I attack them. I also would have put boots over Katars in terms of difficulty. But can’t really argue strongly against your list. Very solid.
Thankyou ❤️ I think the easy, medium and hard levels are pretty interchangeable but I've seen some really outlandish takes in the comments like axe being equal to scythe and Boots being easier than spear 😭😂
Thanks for the support bro 😊 I don't think I've faced any high skill boots players like ever tbh, I've seen what sandstorm and other pros can do and they really never overextend. I personally have only seen people use the fundamentals which imo on their own aren't too hard to master. But then again I don't play boots much myself 😅
@@Karti_FGC yeah I agree, this is just based on my experience playing these weapons - cannon has both huge hitboxes and is fast/mobile while having 1/2 read 0-to-deaths, it has a reliable kill confirm and n-light + dair are good approach options, for a new player all they have to learn is approach with n-light/dair, then learn reads off s-light - for me, bow's similar to blasters in terms of knowledge of spacing, neutral, juggle game, etc. You also have to learn the different confirms off s-light since it varies with damage, and as u mentioned in the video it has a hard time with KO-ing, even more so than katars since it can't rely on gimps
@TheMan64.82 I put Bow and Katars as pretty much equal however in regards to KO power at least bow has GP which kills in orange. As for cannon the main issue I have is with it being jumpable in a lot of scenarios. That paired with it being easily waited out I think at high level cannon is hard to pull off. I do agree with what you saying tho
Thanks for watching! I think that easy, medium and hard weapons are interchangeable but I've seen some outlandish takes like axe and scythe being the same skill level and Boots being before spear 💀
Weapon i can't wrap around in my head: schyte (im really bad at knowing my distance over enemy, so i always hit attack earlier); hammer(kind of have unusual attack because of its space from your character to the hitbox, i know you can deal with this problem with nlight or dlight but still unusual to me), and blaster (lack of moving attack)
Scythe is about punishing dodge reads, which can be said for every weapon tbh but for scythe and blaster's I have full guides and combo videos if you wanna learn them and hammer I'll get around to eventually 😅
There's no right or wrong answer 😊 I think spear is easier overall for the auto combos and harder to deal with for newer players who run into random slights and ground pounds
I can’t stick to one singular weapon bro 😭 some weeks I’m playing scythe 0 to deaths nothing else , others weeks only orb then sword NOW ITS FREAKING BOW 😭
when i started to play the game, i mained greatsword. this was after all the greatsword nerfs came. greatsword is legit easier than spear to play. it has an answer to everything. amazing grounded attacks. amazing aerial attacks. i as a new player spammed this and won. i didn't know what i was doing but i was winning. and the dodge reads are so easy to do. you can roll your face on the keyboard at lower skill levels and win because greatswords kit is just that good
Well idk what to tell you brother easy to pick up and easy to master are vastly different. At higher levels GS has things like dash cancels, situational combos that only work on opponents mid-jump for example. What does spear have that's hard to understand? How to slight-> dlight -> sair? Come on man you cannot be fr 😭
@@Karti_FGC I now main imugi. I've found sidelight into his side Sig catches 7 out of the 9 dodges and sidelight into dsig catches 6 of them. I could technically do this and condition my opponent to dodge a specific way and read them with a sidelight dash cancel nlight into bridge dlight nlight finisher or sidelight finisher. Imugi just makes greatsword easier than spear. all you need is a sidelight opener to wreck having on the players mental. But you are right, the gs without sigs is quite hard to do. I know how to do dash cancels but in the heat of a game, it is quite hard to do and opponents mixing their options is a struggle to read. The technique I mentioned earlier has carried me to 1950 elo.
Bodvar in all is pretty basic but does well at high level with just fundamentals. Cassidy and Yumiko have crazy amounts of true combos to learn tho for example
The thing with bow is there’s counters to it and most people who think they play it well aren’t playing it optimally, and orb is not easier than katars that’s common sense
If you can play orb and katars you can play scythe hammer is harder and great sword is the hardest weapon to learn simply cause the patience you gotta have but for advanced combos I definitely say hammer
Omg you figured it out! Except that's not the extent of it. Both versions of active input will have separate follow ups to learn. So now not only do you have to account the different active inputs but the follow ups that go with them, when to do them, which to do etc. Again, easy to pick up does not mean easy to master.
@Karti_FGC the hard part about sythe is that you have to put in all your brainpower into reading their dodge. The basics are not difficult. Actually pulling off the strings is a struggle against a good player whose dodges are unreadable and they mix it up with fast falls, jumps and wakeups. Sandstorms sythe clips are insane because he is able to read pro players who have this almost mastered
scythe is definitly same difficulty as axe, even if you do not do crazy combos it has barely any endlag, very quick, with very good range and perfect angles and is extremely easy to learn
Ahh yes scythe, the weapon with 5+ 0 to deaths for each dodge read is as basic as the weapon that can get away with just doing jump dair the entire match. What was I thinking putting them so far away from eachother
@@Karti_FGC just because you have multiple different options doesnt make the weapon harder, infact it makes it easier dodge reading isnt nearly as hard as you make it to be + even if you fail a dodge read your very unlikely to get punished and can easily get back on the attacking end
@@whyc3 you wonder why 70% of players play scythe, its not just because its cool its because its very easy to pick up, you can win with scythe with almost no combos just because of its versatility, and also doing 1 dodge read can lead to a very easy kill confirm or setup. saying its as easy as axe ig is a over exageration but its def around battle boots
@@Karti_FGCjust cause scythe has insane dodge reads doesn’t make it difficult cause you dont need to read 10 dodges in a row, scythe has very good neutral and offstage and good at building up damage
By saying easiest what do you mean? Easiest by picking up? Or easiest to climb? If second, i would completely disagree almost with everything except blasters
It's taking both easiest to pick up and to master into consideration. And is okay to disagree, most people will disagree with at least one thing on the list, but this is based on my 2000 hours of experience
