Interesting story on your journey in photography; and I mean interesting in a good way. Makes me think about my start in the business. That was many decades ago. I'll listen to your podcast recently. Thanks for sharing your story.
Something written specifically for the podcast! Our good friend and great artist Matt Ngesa wrote it, he’s on Spotify/Apple Music, go check his stuff out!
Hey Cassidy, love the podcast! I am a hobby photographer who recently got a bunch of gear, started a website and is trying to make this thing more of a side hustle. I built my portfolio by taking candids at family gatherings and parties and also am taking a lot of dog pictures (mostly because I have a 7 month old model husky myself and am in dog parks a lot). Starting out, I'd like to get into dog photography and people candids / headshots / portraits - what would you recommend in terms of finding my first clients? So far all I did is the website and putting up a couple of post in my local facebook groups. There has been interest from people but none of them have actually followed through on setting a shoot date so far. It seems like they are expecting a free shoot because once I explain my process to them and send them the pricelist, I usually don't hear anything back (and believe me, it's very affordable :D). Thank you!
omggg i am all in for this podcast!! love it 🙌🏼
I love your story. I started my LLC in 2020 and shot my first 17 weddings in 2020 as well
