Thank you for brightening my day with another beautiful card. I lost my daughter 2 years ago today and watching something so creative and cheerful took my mind off my sadness. You inspire me! Thank you again. Many hugs to you!
I often revisit your videos in search of ideas for an urgent birthday card etc ... & wish so much I could hit the "Like" button each time as I so appreciate your work :) I've chosen this beautiful technique to make a last minute card for tomorrow & "going for gold" making half a dozen for a host of summer birthdays coming up while I'm at it, with different stamps & colourways. Thank you as always for your inspiration & wonderful tuition and your name as designer goes on the back of all the cards made from your videos. Fair do's!
Woah woah woah…you don’t need embossing ink to activate the powder?! MIND. BLOWN. 🤯 Absolutely beautiful card, as always! And omg that light gray background is so beautiful against the vibrant focal points! 😍
No because the embossing ink is just to hold it exactly where you want it for a few minutes whilst you melt it. Here she is just using it to create a glaze so there was no need for precision in where she wanted it. So there for no need for ink! By the way here's another way to use it :D When I create Christmas cards and if I paint baubles with my watercolour, I use a gel pen doesn't matter really about the colour, though I do tend to use a colour that works well with the embossing colour. But I digress, anyway you can actually draw on your small metal attachments with a gel pen then sprinkle the metallic colour you want in embossing powder, the sticky gel pens ink will work the same way ask your embossing ink and hold the embossing powders, so when you dry it, it looks amazing! I also draw directly onto the baubles area then add one of my glitter embossing powders so you get real dimension and I can recreate one of my baubles with glitter on. You wouldn't believe how fine you can get the details with embossing powder, just by using a gel pen and embossing powders!! Because gel pens dry slowly they're brilliant for this method... and they are something most people have, even if you don't own them.. bet your kids do! lol. Also one other thing, that's really handy... you can use them to write your sentiments in your own hand writing then emboss them! :D. Happy crafting. x These are the gel pens I use... but pretty sure most are the same. All you need to look for is one that's slow drying. So ironically, something most people might complain about is something that's handy for others hehe... This is the brand I use.. 12PA www.amazon.co.uk/White-Ink-Pens-Gold-Silver/dp/B0895MLYC4?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1&psc=1
@@susanhamilton8370 You're very welcome, I love gel pens for this. Most people don't think of using them in this way. But they are cheaper and better than embossing pens lol
Natasha I am amaze. I didn't care much for the squares when I was watching what you were doing but I loved how you worked them out on your card! I loved the result. Thank you for all the beautiful ideas your share with us
