I would never own a Shark. Their brush rolls are very aggressive. What people think is dirt, is actually carpet fiber. Their filtration is horrible. My machine of choice is a Sanitaire

Agreed. We only got this because my dad wanted one. I like Bissell the best, and they actually own Sanitaire.
