- Welcome to vlog no.2 in this Sky Princess cruise ship series! Today I’m touring and reviewing our standard balcony cabin, C624, port side, mid-aft. Is this cabin and its balcony too small? Can you even stretch out on the balcony? Many have said you can’t! Is there a dreaded clingy curtain in the bathroom? Will we fit on the toilet?! Is there enough storage space? Great room! The fact you got that weather in the North Sea is excellent - I was up there 2 weeks ago and we had such thick fog!

We loved the bed and the fact that you could order different pillows on the App as well as bath robes and extra towels. Wondered why you put your medallion up to the screen though, our door unlocked all on it's own when we approached and mine even said 'Happy birthday' 🤣🥰🎉
Mine didn’t always unlock unfortunately even though it knew I was approaching 😳😳😳

At formal night, are people too formal ?
You can take 1 bottle to be consumed inside your cabin otherwise corkage fee. Are people too formal? I’m not sure what you mean. Many dress up, some don’t.
Hi Jamie, we are booked on this ship in October, could you tell me if Princess provide flannels and body lotion if we ask our steward like on Iona? Also is the friddge stocked when you get onboard? Or empty?

We are booked on this ship , May 2024, for our first ever cruise, so great to see the ship like this. But that toilet, surely no good for the average man!

Hubs and I will be in the cabin next door, C626, in January of 2024! Thanks for showing the features, I think it will suit us just fine.

This the main thing I don't like about Princess ships. They usually don't have a couch for sitting in the balcony cabins. The only place to sit is that one chair or the bed. How do you relax in the room if you don't want to sit on the bed. The three times we have been on Princess, we had to upgrade to a mini suite for the extra room.

Nice Cabin tour Jamie. It must be difficult to make a cabin tour perky but you manage it! I too love a balcony. I took the advice that 'once you go Balcony you never go back' on my first cruse and I would always have one. My MSC balcony was so narrow I had to move a chair out of the way to get out there, but all the same nothing beats that morning air and the views. As a solo traveler I don't need oodles of space anyway. Looking forward to the rest of this series.

I'm with Warrior Box, a very perky, upbeat cabin tour. I'm definitely team balcony to the point that it's at least a balcony or I'll wait until a balcony is available/affordable. We've booked a standard balcony on Sky and I'm sure we'll love it. The balcony looks very narrow but problem solved with the rearrangement of the furniture. Disappointed with the shower curtain but hey ho.
Oh yes, rearrange that balcony furniture and you’ll be fine 😂 It is narrower than many cruise line balconies but not a deal breaker by any means.
At least the shower curtain is no longer clingy and imagine the view through that show curtain window 😂
I booked an obstructed balcony - it eas cheaper than an interior!

I think if budget allows, I’d always choose a balcony cabin. If it means I can squeeze in more cruises, ocean view or inside will work ❤️

Thanks for another brilliant cabin tour video Jamie 🤩 We do like it when cabins have that storage area by the bathroom - it really frees up the sleeping/living area 😊 Definitely one of the cosier balcony sizes, but better than no balcony by a long shot 🤩
We've not cruised with Princess before - how many cruises do we have to do to reach the lofty heights of Elite? 😃 Looks like Princess have a decent set of loyalty perks?
It was comfy and cosy 😁 It’s 15 cruises or 150 days at sea to become elite

I have tried an interior cabin, not normally claustrophobic but on the first night I could’nt breathe and I panicked completely. I went up on deck and slept on a chair. A member of the crew brought me a blanket. In the morning , I asked to move and was given a window cabin, although I could not open the window, I was ok after the move. They did not charge me extra!
Now I save and cruise a bit less but with a balcony and I make full use of it however small.
Oh no poor you sleeping on a chair!! What a lovely thing the crew did for you though!!

I actually saw you one night walking through Take5, anyway we were in D505 a balcony cabin, we didn’t like the fact, there was just one chair, so when the missus was the dressing table unit, I had to sit on the bed.
Did you see or hear about the fist fight between, a member of staff, and a passenger in the Estrella M.D.A. ? Not nice we started useing the port side entrance after that, and due to the fact we had booked a table 2 months in advance, and they didn’t have a table, we offered to wait, but he still couldn’t guarantee us a table.
Ah a shame we didn’t say hello! No I didn’t hear anything about a fight! What on Earth happened?
@@TravelBlogJamie no idea what happened just heard women screaming, and the reception desk calling for security, the waiter got sent below deck, and the passenger just said the man was a lunatic, tried to get more info, but nobody was saying anything.

I want to know why such sophisticated and beautifully designed ships have quirky hot air balloons all over them. I would love to go in a hot air balloon and a ship. who ever decided to marry both things together is a genius in my opinion.

Not for the standard menu, but items from speciality restaurants and pizza come with a surcharge
