    I seasoned & sautéed my pork chops first to get a nice brown color to them so they are not bland with a flavored gravy. I also put mine in instant pot it was ready in 30 with my baked potatoes I included inside and broccoli 🥦

      I think maybe your thinking of pressure cookers exploding. With slow cooker its cooked over long time with low heat, pressure cookers are cooked with fast cooking time at high temperatures, you want to keep the heat in so definitely latch the slow cooker or it won't cook correctly. Meal looks good!

    • @emily45798
      @emily45798 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@saralangenberg5468 with slow cookers pressure builds up too much with the laches. It’s just for travel. If you latch it, pressure will build up causing an explosion. It’s very dangerous! Pressure cookers are meant to be locked in, not crock pots

    You should sear your chops before putting them in the crock pot then they wouldn't look like a grey piece of meat when u pull them out. Better yet use some season flour on them before u sear to become even better.

      You should use corn starch and cold water not hot it will make it all lumpy its less work and less tiring from mixing. Flour does not break down well in food that is hot (unless making a rue) and it can leave clumps of flower in the meal, and no one wants to bite into a small ball of flour with gravy.

    Thanks for the cooking class on this one! I got all my ingredients , since I'm in my late 50's now I went with the low sodium broth and low sodium cream of chicken soup. The onion soup mix and gravy packets should have enough salt in them. I'm going to toss in some sliced onion and sliced shrooms on the bottom as well. My guess with my slow cooker, a $20 ( Hamilton Beach ) el-cheapo no frills model, 6-7 hours on low. Wish me luck!

      Sorry you don’t like it. Maybe use only half the packet of onion soup mix? Or low sodium broth?

    How many points?

      Hi Renae. For this one I will look up “pork chop” in the WW app for the points and then measure out the weight of the chop using my food scale. For me on blue plan, it’s about 5 points for 4 oz. of meat. And then I count 1 point for the gravy. Hope this helps.

      I personally think it cooks better on low. I cook it on low for about 7 hours.
