Your are getting quite proficient in oil pastel portraits. Really, challenging to paint on such small paper. Is that pastelmat? Interesting that you mix the cheap Chinese made non.artist grade oil pastels with the high end Sennelier material.
Paul Rubens is sold as artist grade but is far inferior compared to Sennelier. They're adequate for blocking background since the Pastelmat paper eats up oil pastel stick quickly.
@@lonecolorstudio Chinese made oil pastels are of really low quality, unfortunately, even when lightfastness details are printed on the stick (Royal Talens Van Gogh, for example) but they are pretty OK for underpainting with odorless mineral sprits. On the other, however, hand Pastelmat is not really fine for underpaintings. Hmm, Sennelier is the cheapest high quality artist grade oil pastel, Neopastel and Holbein are even more expensive. Hmm ... Anyhow, just go on with your oil pastel channel, it is excellent and highly appreciated by oil pastellistas like me.
