      I'd answer with "no idea," which is true. Looking up to see if people actually ask that question on a first date, and apparently that answer would be a red flag.
      "If he doesn’t know what it is, then we have a bigger problem, just because it’s important to have a frame of reference for how your credit is doing."
      Credit to me is loans. Loans are debt, and I don't like debt. If I don't have enough to buy something outright, I won't buy it.

I always to myself, no one has died due to not owning so & so (e.g. a car) so why should I get into debt buying that. Being able to afford basic necessities is good enough for me until I can afford luxuries.

      Yeah first date is wild. I would ask about their job and their passions because I want to know their values and what's shaping their world. I wouldn't ask specific financial questions. I would assume they're looking for someone to cosign their loan if someone asks me on a first date. No thank you.

    When it comes to joint bank accounts, start one together for things like a mortgage but still have separate ones. That way if you wanted to surprise eachother with gifts, you can keep it a secret

      Something else no one talks about with joint finances is that there is always a risk your partner could secretly accrew debt and for instance, if they die you'd be held responsible. Or other such horror stories. (Which I only researched bc I was terrified I'd end up with my father's debt, so that's context for ya 😂).
      So always be careful, even if you trust them at first, x years of marriage changes people. My parents are certainly not the same people they were when they got married.
      Personally I'd insist on a prenuptial, because although I'm capable of trusting a person, I doubt I will ever trust the unrelenting force of time.

      ​@Galaxy Gamers i personally would preffer 2 separate accounts in addition to a joint family account. If I for example make 100,000$ and my spouse makes 50,000$, then I would add twice as much to the joint account than her. That way, both partners get to keep their own private finances while also fairly contributing money to family related expenses. I think this creates strong personal boundaries, allows both parties to feel a degree of freedom while still working together, reduces the risk of one partner feeling like the other is leeching off them, and allows both parties to surprise each other and build trust.

      I dont think so. Depending on the person and the setting of the date thats something that could get brought up. Ive been on first dates that were planned like a movie dinner then straight home, and ive been on more spontaneous dates where we go out bowling or something and then end up at the beach stargazing talking for hours and a bunch of different topics get brought up.
      I agree its weird if its a planned question but sometimes the energy on a first date can be so good that any subject is possible to talk about.

Neither is right or wrong but it's good to understand how you are utilizing these aspects of dating life and how others may differ. To some people dating is just going on a date, it means nothing serious to them.

      Anyways, the answer to your question is because no one is a psychic reading minds and telling the future and people can change you know. Considering the divorce rates it's better to be safe than sorry.
      Also, money is the factor that creates a crack in most relationships and gives rise to temptation and ill will.

    I personally would not wear a used ring, except if it's generational. Because I strongly believe that energies of souls get trapped in their belongings. Some can be positive and caring. And some can be disastrous for you. If my mom gives me a jewel to wear, I'd wear it because she always wants my good.
